Everything about this film was above average except the script. The lighting, steady-cam, sound, score, shot direction, performance by no-name actors (no offense meant), background direction, EVERYTHING was so far above the line for a low-budget film... or any film for that matter, but the script SUCKED SO LOUD it could be heard across the planet. I bought this DVD because some of my actor friends told me that the Cinematography was so awesome... I had to see it. And it WAS ! The editing was brilliant ! ! !
I'm telling you... this film was a "script" away from a truck load of awards.
I have walked away from 2 films in my life... this was one. So frigging boring for 68 minutes... I wanted to go mow the yard..or get a tooth pulled.
Swing and a miss for Zach Braff on this one... stay with voice overs and leave the "WRITIN'" for somebody else. However.. if you can gather that crew...for what you paid them... I can make you famous.

Without a doubt, one of the most horribly directed films in the past decade. I'm from Texas and I know the story of the Alamo and I had a hard time following the film. Unreal poor direction by John Lee. Cinematography was A+, as was art, SFX and stunts. But the direction was so bad that I wanted to get up and leave the theater. One more thing, were there NO stunts in this film? Must not have been because the `lettuce chopper' and her `assistant' got credits but NOT ONE stunt person received a credit. Without Billy Bob's performance as David Crockett and the action scenes, this film is a TOTAL waste of time. Way to go John Lee
you ruined possibly the easiest project of your career. 2 thumbs down!
This may be long but if you plan on spending 90 minutes of your time watching this "film"..spend 5 reading this. Adam Sandler... awesome. This film proves that he can perform with crap. Direction: Only "Manos; Hands of Fate" is worse. This "film" was amateurishly thrown together in an attempt to be vogue. The direction was horrid and the script was incomplete. Such a shame too because the idea had HUGE potential if only it had a real screen writer and a real Director. The cinematography was exceptional with several long unedited scenes remaining in focus. As bad as this film was..it's a must-see to show film makers what NOT to do. Give this film ANY real Director and it is a smash ! ! Huge potential down the drain!
