Another excellent series from Denmark! For those who criticize it for being racist and predictable, those are precisely some of the series key points. It's meant to be like that.
Rich versus poor.
This is not a series you watch and forget. It sticks with you because it causes you to wonder. It's not about solving the mystery, it's about what lies under the façade of wealthy society. And reveals how easily people can ignore what's wrong until it becomes impossible to look away.
The two main actresses are the ones who carry the story and make it come together.
The casting and the suporting casting are all great!
Overall, I'd have to tell you I didn't think I was going to enjoy this show as much as I did. But it impressed me. It's intelligent, emotional and incredibly psychological.
It demonstrates that justice doesn't come easily when the subjects are rich and powerful. And It is also a reminder that sometimes doing the right thing can hurt, but that it is the right thing to do.
Of course, let's not forget the ongoing theme about social media among minors in this series, which, just like in the series 'Adolescence' , fill you with questions and frustration at the same time.
If you're into tension, psychology and a great message on social commentary, 'Secrets We Keep' is worth watching, no doubt.

It's not an easy series to watch; on the contrary, it's quite intense and also frustrating.
I must admit that after watching the first episode, I decided to take a break; it's not my type of series. But it stuck in my head, It's addictive and very psychologycal.
And of course I love British series, and this one is in beautiful Cornwall, nice photography by the way. :)
In addition, the series addresses issues of role division, self-development, 'nature and nurture', social institutions and the changing social view of these matters.
The castig is also quite good.
I did miss a lot more emotion and excitement in some of the characters, and the ending seemed really weak and .. I would have chose something less cheesy overal.
Ideal for viewers with a strong sense of justice (although it is hard to watch) and a preference for grounded British drama. Interesting topic.

I don't understand how this series can have a rating of more than 6, it's incredible.
The structuring of the story is really bad as well as the dialogue writing, the undercooked characters and the central gimmick, and the unnecessary subplots , all horrible!
Who am I to complain about it, right? All I can do is ask you to watch better shows that do go about crime. Like Hannibal, Bates Motel, and of course Dexter. That's how you do it!
What the heck was the subplot with those 2 detectives? What was the whole point of even having them in the series? They don't had anything substantial at all!
Like I said before choose a good crime series or watch horticulture documentaries because they are so much better and entertaining than garbage like The Gardener.
