Start studded murder mystery! Donna Lynne Champlain shines as a detective here, really had no idea she was so talented. Happy to see her getting the screen time she deserves. Eve Hewson, she is okay, beautiful as usual but she's just beautiful. Literally all she has to do is show up. Fahy is also beautiful but in a different way, she's more interesting. She does well enough. Dakota Fanning...her star continues to fall.

Will someone please cast Jack Reynor as a good guy at some point? He is playing the same guy ad nauseam. Ick.

Leiv Schrieiber performed his role well, he was at least fun to watch. And last, Nicole Kidman. Omg. How many houses has her surgeon bought on her dime? I'm not even sure if she looks good or bad or just fake, it's hard to tell. Even though most of her is synthetic at this point, she could at least wear her own hair. Her wig is tragic in this film. Her acting is consistent with everything else she's done in the last ten years. Not terrible, not great.

This is a decent miniseries if you need a distraction.the story is just interesting enough to keep the viewer engaged.

First, too many reviewers are leaving accurate, deserved negative reviews on the show titled " Squid Game season 2". So that alone makes the 8 rating the series has now inflated. Season one was amazing, I loved it. Three plus years is all the creators had to come up with a respectable season two and they blew it. Or maybe this is just half a season and the greedy Gus fat cats at NF broke it into two parts to retain subscribers. 🙄 Season two of the series is unsatisfactory. They have regurgitated previous characters with new actors and new names, but not new backstories or even personalities. The only plus is that the English dubbing is improved, but still the translation is suspect as some of the dialogue is nonsense.

Season 2 is a fail. Three star rating is to reflect that too many reviewers are being redirected to the shorts show and not the series and leaving their honest reviews there.

Just tell the viewers that you are only releasing the first half of a season when that is your intention. This is half of a season pretending to be a full one.

The positives are that the dubbing for English was better than season one. I think some of it was lost in translation as some of the dialogue was nonsensical.

Regarding the story, our main character has grown up it seems, this makes him less fun but less ridiculous too. The other characters can be paralleled to primary characters of season one, almost exact duplicates and that's just lazy. Most reviewers remember the name Thanos because he is the most obnoxious character SG has produced so far.

I think that the comments regarding low reviews due to a trans character are not justified. This season is really that unsatisfying. If they actually manage to get season three out in 2025, or another 3+ years? Either way I am not optimistic. Watch it if you have absolutely nothing better to do.
