2025 Maddock Films began with a bang. Sky Force will not deliver you the stylized action, romance sequences of the lead hero - heroine but it shows you the human emotions in a sector where emotions are kept aside for the sake of the nation.
The story is about the Indian Airforce strike against Pakistan on 1965 and during that courageous act, an officer "T. Krishna Vijaya alias "Tabby" vanishes into thin air & his superior Wing Commander Om Ahuja is on a journey to find his disappeared colleague.
Skyforce is not only the story of 1965 Air attack mission but its beyond that as it takes us to the path of the unrecognized sacrifices of the real heroes, how its impact the lives of their loved ones.
Skyforce does not give us a new story but its always refreshing to see when it comes to presentation of the real-life heroes & Skyforce succeeds in it.
Talking about the writing aspect, screen play is well written. Moments of goosebumps, tears were well placed. The 1st half basically focuses on the 1965 war and the second half is its extension & the 2nd half played an important part as its heavily based on sentiments & there the writing team "Sandeep Kewlani; Aamil Keeyan Khan; Carl Austin & Niren Bhatt" had beautifully narrated thereby making the movie a worth watch.
Talking about the technical aspect, Director duo Sandeep Kewlani - Abhishek Anil Kapur beautifully presented the movie. Aerial action sequences were captivating. VFX work was noteworthy as it might some few films where VFX in an action sequences were well blended.
Performance wise the lead Akshay Kumar & Veer Pahariya had lived on their characters. Veer Pahariya never gave us the hint that it was his debut film. Especially the climax portraying his character bravery blended with Justin Varghese score was presented very well.
Overall Sky Force gives us the contentment.

Gautham Vasudev Menon from his strong police characters presentation in Kaakha Kaakha , Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, here GVM presented Dominic in a different manner. We could see the quirkiness in Dominic's character through his introduction but as the story develops, we could see the sharpness, agility of this character which makes Dominic worth watchable.
The movie in the 1st half delivers many laughable moments due to the peculiarity in the Dominic characterization & also the combination sequences between Dominic & his assistant Vicky but during this tenure parallelly, the investigation for a unclaimed ladies purse raises the curiosity.
In the 2nd half we could see a shift in the transition of the movie tone thereby moments of thrill, curiosity raises. But the movie fails to hold on the mystery as the portrayal of a specific character at multiple times gives a hint & when it reaches a climax the only exciting factor is the crime revelation & its reason behind it.
Performance wise, Mammootty captures the love of audience for his Dominic character. Gokul Suresh as Viki had performed very well especially the combination scenes were good. Sushmita Bhatt as Nanditha was not convincing as the character has some depth and shades which could have been better presented on screen if it was with some who matches with the character.
GVM as mentioned earlier had taken a different approach & this collaboration gears up the hope for further instalments of Dominic investigation journey.
Overall , a watchable Flick.

Set up in the backdrop of a toddy shop, a crime happens & how the mystery gets unlocked is all about the movie. The movie turns out to a watchable flick because of its unique nature of crime pattern adapted in this story.
By the initial few minutes of the movie commencement, writer - director Sreeraj able to involve the audience into his world. He able to create an illusion towards his scripted crime thereby, not only to the characters but for the audience the thinking pattern was on the same track. Also as mentioned earlier the uniqueness in the crime pattern he adapted adds another positive factor to the film.
Basil Joseph as the investigative officer had done an astounding performance. The screenplay had his character development structure & at the required time, Basil brings out the transformation it requires thereon making the character worth watching at the big screen. Another notable performance was of Soubin Shahir, playing the character of a worker in a toddy shop. The character faces a lot of challenges and the character has its own shades which makes quite interesting to watch.
Shivajith playing as the toddy shop owner. This character had been portrayed as a terror as the description given by the fellow characters gives a feel to it & Shivajith able to set into the character very well thereby providing a notable performance.
Apart from the lead, artists Chandini Sreedharan, Chemban Vinod & also the characters surrounding the toddy shop had done a decent performance.
Talking about the technical aspect special mention to editor Shafique Mohamed Ali for his meticulous cuts thereon making the audience engaged into the world of mystery. Apart from the editing, Shyju Khalid cinematography is also top notch especially during the bike chase scenes, it is worth captivating.
Gokul Das production design & Vishnu Vijay's music accelerates the viewing interest.
Overall, a theatrical watch experience movie.
