So first thing first...just watched the unrated cut...was actually surprised...it had some really good jumpscares, the effects are great, the story was absolutely fun...the acting was good..I feel like the characters are likeable and relatable...I think everything was well done...that said I'm a huge james wan fan and feel while he is definitely a good director, his productions are intense...the sets are amazing, the camera work is top notch...I know there is going to be some hating it especially because most saw the pg-13 version...I honestly loved it...fun just entertaining...not a serious movie by far...but definitely a fun watch.

I actually started watching the series when I was 14 with the syndicated version being on my local CBS channel on Saturday...so didn't get much of the "content" that was being shown on showtime till I found it on DVD...the stories were always told in a mature way and I'm not referring to content but how the writing was never taken to feel juvenile or anything like that...was actually a fan of episodes that were interesting to me like the quality of mercy and sand kings episodes in particular...would recommend anytime I am asked about the show.

Yes...I liked it...the acting was good for a smaller range budget..love the use of actual shark footage....they did a really good job creating an emotional reaction.... overall not amazing but definitely a nail biter...the concept is cliche and when you see the shark in any other footage not the actual shark footage it's fair but not great....acting was not great but good enough for the genre .. actually does an underrated job at building tension and suspense....for what it is it was good enough...had moments I didn't expect and they actually do a very very good job at making the characters likeable.
