Alp Navruz, as gorgeous as he is, may have a struggle in trying to salvage this sick story. His character is quite self absorbed, confused with Mommy Issues, and a problem with alcohol. It's all very unappealing. I hope he shows character growth and improvement.
Most characters are quite cliche. Munnever's husband of less than one day is a real jerk- in fact, shameful. He just wanted a slave, not a wife. I suppose he assumed that is what he was getting. His cohorts are equally deplorable criminals.
Ilayda Alisan is remarkably able to cry in every scene. She can really turn on the tears. But as much as I like her, I don't love this character. I hope she gets strong. I'm glad she is honorable, but she just seems so weak. I found the most interesting character to be the friend that took Munnever in, Ahsen. She shows depth and compassion. For her I will continue watching.
As far as production, it is super cheesy. For example, the camera angles and "special effects" are high school grade. When showing a drunken Kenan, the camera was spinning on top of him, then blurry...it was cringe.
I really hope this show gets better, but judging by the first episode, I don't have high hopes.
If you want to watch, do it to keep Alp onscreen.

The words "Simple, Predictable, Acceptable" aren't exactly what you want in a movie, but that is exactly how I felt about this little romance movie. "Simple" in that the plot was pretty straight forward, and moved along exactly how any teenager would write it. Which leads me to "Predictable". This will not leave you interested in how it will go, in what may happen...no...it is what it is. But I say it is "acceptable" because it really was okay. It's a romance comedy and has a few endearing moments. Would I watch it again? Nope, but it was fine...that all...fine. Should you watch it? Sure, if you are bored and want to see a light show, but don't get your expectations too high.
I thought the actors were good, and the leads were quite compatible. The story line had some interesting twists that kept it from getting stale. It would have been nice to have more episodes to delve into the stories of the side characters more, as it seems to have been prematurely wrapped up. The brother, the mother, creepy father, nice friends...all would be nice to know more about.
The story was called Secret Garden, but there really wasn't much to explain that. Perhaps that could have been further explored as well.
Ebru Sahin is very beautiful and I was glad to see her acting again. And her costar, Murat Yildirim, was charming in his own way. I liked both characters.
My only complaint, really, is that it was ended to quickly.
