Quentin Tarantino: 20 Years of Filmmaking (2012)
The Panel Discussion... say no to Red.
Don't let my review distract you from purchasing this amazing set of movies. Nothing like it really, I wish they would've avoided to put it out till Quentin was done, but I'll take it.
For starters, do not get excited about the 20 year documentary/panel discussion... BUT you must listen to the redheaded idiot in the interviews...unreal. Can't believe she made it to panel, it's worth watching just to be-little her the entire time. Her perspective almost seems scripted, embarrassing.
Super disappointed with the bonus features on this amazing set. Quentin rules, no matter what some stupid amateur thinks. Now, I know she is the only woman on the panel so I felt like she had to be there. The gentlemen simply tolerate her, all the while inside they are clearly cringing.
It's a long watch with her dumb a** talking every once in a while, but you can make it.
The Last Time (2006)
Brendan Fraser ruined this film
Good story, great idea, great acting...with exception to Mr. Fraser... no wonder he doesn't work anymore. Keaton is on point as usual, Brendan just ruins it with over acting, which is his MO really. Unless it's Encino Man, the guy is not qualified to work with real talent.
The 15:17 to Paris (2018)
High Hopes.
Clint Eastwood rarely disappoints when directing, but the acting was so bad, especially by the lead male and Judy Greer, that I couldn't even finish 30min of it. I'm sure there was potential for a story here, but was not going to waste the time. Felt like a Christian funded and produced film. Maybe Kirk Cameron could have saved it? Ha, no. Anyway, disappointed, usually love all things Eastwood. Except this.
You Belong to Me (2021)
A great psychological thriller...
A great psychological thriller...Don't believe the reviews, if you're into this sort of movie you're gonna love it. Casey Affleck is always awesome and Michelle gives a great performance too, as well as the villain. Not too long, not too short, kept me intrigued the whole time. Highly recommended ****
Thunder Force (2021)
Blame Ben Falcone
So sick of horrible McCarthy movies... Spencer has ruined her reputation for great roles, but it's kind of sad that Jason Bateman decided to be a part of this, he usually makes good choices. We've heard this story before in many different ways, the storyline is just preschool level. Sorry I wasted my time.
Rock of Love with Bret Michaels (2007)
Wow. Enjoyable, but....
So, on a rebound of another reality show, I begin to watch what is now a classic trashy reality show. Growing up with Poison and a lot of metal/hair metal, found this absolutely interesting, but wow, Bret Michaels has the worst taste in women... that's all I have to say.
Donnie Brasco (1997)
Gem💎
What can you really say bad about this film. Al Pacino, Johnny Depp, Michael Madsen?! Genius all around... I feel like Madison doesn't get enough respect, and I wonder how much he has to do to be AS well respected as I feel he should be... Rant aside, nonstop interest and excitement and the acting is perfect. Maybe the best film you'll see about undercover mob work...ever... and done by the best *****
Hoops (2020)
...wow.
Trying to follow on the theme of adult cartoons and the fact that the world loves basketball, this show absolutely bored me from the first minute... Over excessive use of language, which I don't mind...usually ever, but for no reason other than to offend and maybe draw in a younger, curious demographic to watch it for the... (Not really..) shock value. It's really drab and not new in anyway... Feels like a wannabe Semi-Pro... which probably had potential... But this is an extended bore. Don't waste your time... but, at least try the first one so you can believe me. Next.
6 Underground (2019)
People, it's for fun.
I love this movie, and the only reason I gave it a 9 is I felt like it could've been 10-15 minutes shorter, but that's not even a big deal considering some of the new action stars we got to see and of course Ryan Reynolds in a crash course role, mixing both action and comedy at a high level. If you can't go watch a bunch of fun action with some excellent camera work and good acting, I don't know why you watched it in the first place, because the movie just exuded that from the preview alone. A Popcorn-fun, classic action film is what I saw. Michael Bay will always have his doubters and people who remember him for a particular movie, but he did not disappoint here. Enjoy~
The Beach Bum (2019)
Just Fun!!
After reading all the mixed reviews I was leery but so glad I stepped out and trusted the director. This movie is just fun. If you can't let go of reality and just watch somebody be wild, what are movies for? Great sharp turns and shocking excess, exactly what I expected. Keep the raw entertainment alive!! Walk in with an open mind and leave with one too. A+
Escape Room (2019)
Ehh
I was excited to see this movie, was into it for the first 30 minutes and then it just fell off for me... So boring, quite predictable but yet not enough to keep me wanting to watch more but I finished it because I spent two dollars on it from the Redbox... Ha ha. If you like B-movie thrillers this could be OK .
Suicide Squad (2016)
Cinematic candy
Im going to keep this short and to the point.
This movie had great characters. This movie has lots of cool fight scenes & CGI. This movie has some star power. The movie has a couple of great performances. This movie very well may keep you entertained.
What it also has is some bad acting, horrible story lines, bad writing, no real detailed plot, the utter destruction of one of your most loved villains and NO direction.
Like candy, at first its sweet, tasty, looks bright and tempting, but after, your left having ruined your dinner, having to brush your teeth and maybe even a tummy ache.
What this could have been, was a great short.....for YouTube.
What Is... Puscifer (2013)
...it's Puscifer.
This is it. A perfectly confusing, a perfectly random, a perfect sounding display, a perfect representation, and a perfect document of a perfectly misunderstood super-group.
I think most of the world....at first.... completely took Puscifer as a joke....just like Maynard intended you to. But what they are and have always been is original and ahead of YOUR time.
What ya got here, is an amazing concert full of entertainment and stunning sounds. If ya don't like those things....don't watch it.
This video contains, what I believe is, 17 tracks. All songs are very tight, very well executed and brought to you in the purest form. The visuals are what you would expect from Maynard's past taste is his other bands, I'm sure none of you have heard of, but the point is, they're often very psychedelic or very impractical...a nice mix of both.
This is a l o n g video, but very satisfying as it is a nice collection and retrospective of this amazingly unappreciated and still highly respected, amongst those who matter, band.
I give this 10 stars because I could not ask for anything more from this group of musicians. Ever....at least right now...today.
