Sigur Rós: Fjögur píanó (2012)
It Was Weird But In The End Remarkably Beautiful
Well this short video that was posted online was sublime! It was very chaotic but very interesting to view, yes it was pretty graphic with violence & unpredictable nudity. But it had heart & depressing style of culture with the use of Gothic background & butterfly's in frames to make it look Innocent. This is a one off choice for actor Shia Labeouf who was the true attention seeker of this video to make it well known in making so many views on YouTube.
P.S For guy's & I mean "everyone"! I say watch Transformers then this Chaotic Piece Of Art! But if your into this sort of film making? Go right ahead I'm not stopping yeah.
I'm giving it an 8/10 because it's cleverly visual & quite distinctive in it's own way.
Men in Black³ (2012)
Men In Black 3 Delivered & Was Absolutely Amazing!
This was a sequel that took 10 years to come about, but hey whose counting to a much anticipated Sequel that will become a Trilogy? Okay here we go Will Smith & Tommy Lee Jones yet again hit the jack park to the main street with their great one long liners & their great chemistry that they have shared together ever since the first film. I really liked how they were the only remaining cast members from the first too movies, but no one really cared or even noticed that. It shows that Tommy & Will are the true mental piece icons of this Franchise. The film takes place in present day and tells us how Kay and Jay have basically being working in the MIB services for the past 10 years from Men In Black 2 like just your normal every day work. As the film goes along it gets more quirky & hilarious with new characters & the new villain involved. Boris The Animal played by Jemaine Clement was one of the top villains in this franchise,it definitely tops the Serlenna villain but just a little notch down from Edgar The Cockroach from the very first film but very close from 3 steps away! Plus Josh Brolin is in no doubt the best possible portrayal of Tommy Lee Jones to be chosen as the Younger Agent K ever! We see him in 1969 when Jay goes back in time to save Agent K from being killed from Boris The Animal! Brolin really look's and sounds like him, he really took the spotlight gracefully from Will & Tommy in this film as if he was one of their very own characters from 1 & 2 or it just seemed that way from his great portrayal!
I'm so ready for a Men In Black 4! I Just Hope It Doesn't Take 10 Years To Do It For This One!!!
That's My Boy (2012)
This Was A Surprise Of Joy For Sandler!
Adam Sandler has had a buzz full of movies that have made him & absolutely braked him! Jack & Jill last year was one of them.. but this film proves that he's still got that funny outraged charm that hes well known for in Hollywood! Thats My Boy was a pleasant surprise to watch, I was expecting it to be not that great at all, but I was wrong! The film starts off slow, but as it goes along from throughout it gets better & more funner & funnier to watch. This is a role that reminds of his days of playing characters like The Waterboy & Little Nicky but much more perverse with the use of his Wedding Singer wig that he decided to wear for this movie to bring the 80's funk for his character! Andy Samberg was great as the portrayal of his son, they really share a good chemistry together on screen. You could see a resemblance towards their faces as you kept seeing their likeness together on screen. This is by far Sandlers most naughtiest & most inappropriate film hes done in a long time, This film really brings me back to his 90's style era that I absolutely loved & cherished! I give this film an 8 for a good pleasure of Sandlers brand of Comedy!
P.S If You Love Sandler? You'll Love This!
The Carrie Diaries (2013)
Its Watchable, Interesting But Typically Obvious & Way Too Lame
I honestly believe from seeing it I think the pilot itself is quite interesting, It shows how Carrie's life was like in High School & how she was before she even turned 30! But lets be honest & say that their must of being some sort of face lift or car crash to make us believe that this is a young look alike to our well known Carrie from Sex & The City. There's even mention of her having a Family? There was no mention of her having a dad or even a Gothic sister in Sex & The City! I'll be honest the actress AnnaSophia Robb has a lot of potential but I believe she can do better then this, I liked the other actors as well that we're also in the lead roles, but I just felt like that the 80's timing was wrong, way over done & too prissy for the way all the guys we're shown in the pilot! Where we're the true 80's men's men with the testosterone? Plus it was inaccurate & no one wore cloths like that unless your a rich Hollywood star in the 80's. Plus this show has really bad influences of teaching a younger female teenage generation from 13 to 17 that it's okay to have sex when your young & it's okay to steal dresses if you having a fun time doing it. I just didn't care what was going on I liked the acting but the background & story was lame & typically obvious. Not perfect but interesting for how it's portrayed. I'll be honest I think this Carrie will not be as Crude as I thought she would be? Well shes not Crude at all. This version has morals. I was worried at first but this version is very different! Its more childish. Its like watching a nickelodeon show with a bit of character. I found it very quirky and mediocre but it worked for me. I am not going to be one of the people watching it day in and day out.. But people will like it in some way, but its not an adult show, it is it's own show. So problems will arise with the original fans being older and grown out of that generation of age gap. But to me this isn't for the true fans, there are gimmicks here and there.. but its not what their really focusing on in this show.
I think the fact its on the CW it might do well.. Because its not a very popular channel. So it might get a bit of attention.. Because this show is a prequel to something well known. But if it wasn't? It wouldn't be getting this much attention.. Hands down. I wouldn't say it will make up to 6 seasons or even two movies like they hope?! But it might make up to at least 2 Seasons because of the excitement. I wouldn't say this is movie worthy either or at all.. But it will give you happiness in a way.
But AnnaSophia Robb is no Sarah Jessica Parker hands down. So obviously the inaccurate link to Sex and the City is down a notch but it's following the novel to The Carrie Diaries.. but not all the way. I really think that this show is not for the true fans. To me this didn't even seem like a prequel! It was just an excuse to get more marketing.
I gave it 3 Stars because it's not the prequel that the fans we're asking for, it's not the same to the original show. I would of gave it 5 Stars for a stand alone show if it wasn't a prequel.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)
I Liked It For What It Was!
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull definitely delivers, Harrison Ford can still pull off a great Indy for his age at 65 and the legacy still lives on with him being the same way he was in personality & attitude 19 years ago from the events of "The Last Crusade". I do believe some of the special effects was unneeded and especially the annoying over the top flying saucer scene at the end! But despite all that, it still is a worthy sequel to watch if your a true Indy fan! It has Fun Moments, Some Pleasuring Moments, Exciting Moments , Joyful Moments & just a sure great time with the other characters involved with the return of Karen Allen's fun "Marion Ravenwood", Cate Blanchett's great female portrayal of an evil villain Irina Spalko, Ray Winstone's fun & quirky deliverance of the character "Mac" as the confused friend/partner of Indy's & Shia Labeoufs likable & funny performance as Mutt Williams. I Liked it for what it was & you should too, I give it 9 stars out of 10!
