Maniac (2018)
Maniac Review
Brilliantly crafted show. The atmosphere of the series pulls you into its intriguing, eccentric retro-futuristic world. The acting is exquisite and the characters are thoroughly developed. The series is innovative, original, intelligently funny but also emotional, in a few words, it is of a high quality in every aspect of its production!
Lazzaro felice (2018)
Happy as Lazzaro Review
Watched the film at the Palic Film Festival few days ago and i'm still under its influence. Happy as Lazzaro is shot on Super 16mm, lending the film a grainy look that evokes warmth and nostalgia. Wonderful film that wraps its hands around you and with its unusual exotic atmosphere doesn't let go till the end. The acting is briilliant, especially from Adriano Tardiolo, extremley talented actor, hope to see him more in the future. Alice Rohrwacher made a masterpiece and without spoiling anything, I deeply recommend you to see it.
Final Portrait (2017)
Not for everyone
Loved the film, it is definitely not for everyone, as an art student it was rather interesting to see an artists process of making a painting. The film itself is rather small, it is centred around one particular event. The acting is great. I would recommend it to artists and people who are interested in creative process of making an artwork.
Fifty Shades Freed (2018)
Toxic junk
The whole triology draws extreme attention, which is really sad for the film industry, and it says really much of the people today. This triology represents probably the biggest commercial junk there is, and the insane amount of people are here to see it, and, of course, are fulfilling the sole purpose of these films - money. I have watched all three films so I could give a review, but just thinking about it gives me an utter nausea, it was extremely hard to persevere through that toxic waste and to see other people enjoying the same.
What gets me the most is that the audience for independent films, art films are extremely small, and for making those films, people give their hearts out, those are the ones that have something to give to the audience and to the film industry itself - pure, raw art.
Big Little Lies (2017)
Exquisite
Exquisite. 'Big Little Lies' takes us to an incredible journey with its emotional and intriguing storyline. The characters are so thoroughly and thoughtfully developed. Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern gave breathtaking performances. Directing, screenplay, photography, everything is brilliantly done. I would deeply recommend it.
