We live in a world full of family shows obsessed with sex, reproductive parts, reproductive juices etc. Which are not funny any one seen episode 1 Future Man ?
Welcome to Dog River Small town Canada with a huge grain elevator
A show where nothing happens, it tells you that in the theme song. Well written, nice rounded characters and funny.
It's like watching Seinfeld or freinds but on a budget and no worse for that. Like Seinfeld it has roughly 3 small storylines per episode that weave around each other until their conclusions 22 minutes later
It does not take itself seriously and neither should you, good inoffensive fun, i love it.

The number of films based TV shows is huge, the number of successful ones is small, like really almost none. 5 years after the show closed they decide to shoot a movie!
Well relax because its great. Not great in 'its an awesome film' kind of great because it isn't but great in a WOW how did they pull this off.
1. The Original cast, no mean feat and lovely to see
2. Sets are all the same, nothing has changed
3. Writing is excellent, in that its like watching a long episode of the show. Its smart, funny, every setbup has a satisfying pay off
You know those shows you love and then they make a film where international spy's are involved or everyone goes somewhere else so you get a fish out if water storyline. Well there is none of that.
Its a warm charming show that now has what must be a huge crowd pleasing film to go with it.
Lets go to Dog River.

This is one of those films you might have to watch twice to take in all that is presented before you. In my case I won't be doing it as it's not a good ride, I probably missed Lots of detail but hey Ho. Let's call it the film of the constantly changing Macguffin.
Deadpool 1 was a breath of funny fresh air, by 2 it was already getting old and this one is way past its best.
Ryan Reynolds throws out word jumbles at a high velocity to trick you into hearing content but it's just meaningless rubbish, it literally is just rubbish.
The film lurches from set to set and never pauses. At least I saved money and watched it on Disney channel
My only smile came from a nod to Planes Trains and Automobiles, random but appreciated.
