The mark of a good movie is how enjoyable it is to watch and how much of your attention it has. Also would it be worth it to keep this in your library for later viewing? The answer to these questions is a resounding yes. The same answer can be given to - did the main characters play their characters well? And was the acting good? Yes! Despite their young ages the acting was very well done. Most probably due to the clear confidence of the actors. So imagine finding yourself in a different dimension and falling for an inhabitant of that dimension knowing all along it is wrong and you really should not be heading that way. Well love can certainly make you do things you ought not. Although this is a horror movie there was not a great deal of horror to be seen but what there was really did its job to creep you out. It was not really clear if the older male was a friend or father of Chloes character - given the circumstances it could well have been her brother. This movie is well worth the watch especially if you are a Chloe Grace Moretz fan.
The cover of the DVD proclaims "A future Australian classic" well if its the future of Australian classics then Aussie film is in a sad way indeed. It is really hard to remain focused when the movie jumps about with no real plot to speak of therefore once it has lost your attention you just cannot remain interested. The acting was mainly flat and tedious, however some of the Australian scenery is well worth the look if for that alone - and the atmosphere does desperately reek of Ozzie rural living. Shot in Horsham Victoria (this writers home state) its hard to know whether or not the movie did the book justice. Try again Kate. Dont give up.
