As others have mentioned, nothing about this episode was in any way credible. It's like the writers were on a bender and decided to take a break from actual thought.
It is expected that we suspend disbelief in a series like this, but when the violence and sex and changes in alliances are not enough to cover up the flaws, it comes across as intellectually lazy and thus insulting.
I won't go into detail. Suffice to say, it irritated me enough to come here and vent.
One thing that keeps shows like this alive is the element of surprise. Once that's gone, it's over.
I'll continue watching and check back in if the mood strikes...or the show nosedives again.

I understand that people with military backgrounds like those of my family find the dialog and blurry lines between operators and superior, disrespectful. I also know that these people aren't rock stars, They don't ordinarily fly around in private jets and get to decide the fate of the world. But for someone who enjoys watching television shows like this for their pure entertainment value, I couldn't ask for more. I get a rowdy operator crew, hot female lionesses, s strong cast of colorful and very talented characters both in the field and in DC, more action than anyone could ask for, less personal stuff than anyone cares to see, some badass weaponry, great chase scenes, and cliffhangers that keep me looking forward to each episode. For those who want absolute realism, I recall my days in military school and that would go over like a lead toilet paper.
The first question I asked myself when starting this series is exactly how do two covens of witches live openly amongst a massive population of mortals in London in a skyscraper, no less, and with no one is the wiser? All this weird supernatural stuff just sort of happens and we're supposed to suspend disbelief and just go with it? Once I past this conundrum, I was faced with another: Why keep Nathan, the son of Satan, alive in the first place? Just to see if he becomes his father? He's just a young kid who endures endless punishment to see if they can push him over the edge. Please. Then there's this creepy. Fairborne witch who's about as righteous and vile as his sidekick, Nathan's sister, who would be best served up to a road grater. All these detestable characters and parade of cliches make the show unwatchable. I could go on but the other reviewers covered the other points. I gave it 5 stars because I liked the cinematography, locations and the three leads.
