Revisiting "Rocky III" (1982) after many years on newly released 4K UHD disk was a blast. This film does look and sound ridiculously good on new format so get one if you like this movie. I've always enjoyed "Rocky III" for what is is - a fast paced, slick sequel type of a movie were we meet our hero and there is a great villain to fight. This time is a one dimensional but excellently played by Mr. T, Clubber Lang. The last scene with Mickey is a tearjerker and really gets you - excellent performance by Sly and Burgess Meredith. Directing and writing by Sylvester Stallone was good - at short running time 1 h 37 min this movie never drags and is entertaining watch from start till finish. And the soundtrack "Eye of The Tiger" is still a killer song.
Overall, "Rocky III" a pure entertainment. Excellently paced its a good sequel that is still fun to watch.

"Transformers One" (2024) isn't the movie i was looking forward to see, mainly because i haven't seen any of animated "Transformers" before. The films except for the first one (which was great) left not the best taste in my mouth to say the least. But great reviews of "Transformers One" made want to watch it and i did - and i really enjoyed it. Its a fast paced, very collorfull, funny, well spirited movie that works as a great prequel to this story. I liked main characters, and as simple as they are do are likable. Story itself is simple yet solid and voice acting as well as directing and writing were good. At runnning time 1 h 40 min this is fast paced film that flew by me.
Overall, "Transformers One" is a very enjoyable, if predictable but very well made "Transformers" prequel. Good animated movie all around.

"Rocky II" (1979) never had any chance to be as good as the original, and of course they didn't repeat same magic twice. To top arguably the greatest sports film of all time was nearly impossible task, but what they did is a good movie and a good sequel. It follows Rocky Balboa during follow up after were first film ended, and he once again has a fight vs. Apollo Creed. The fight sequence at the end in my opinion was better then in a first movie - its really good and entertaining nail bitter till the last moment. Acting by all involved was good and they seemed perfect in their roles. Writing and directing Sylvester Stallone was solid. Editing of big fight sequence was great.
Overall, "Rocky 2" is the best chapter in my opinion in the series up until "Rocky Balboa" came up decades later. This isn't as great as original was by far, but its a damn good entertainment and very well paced one.
