Good Omens (2019)
Season 2 ruined it
Good omens season one was and is great.
I was hoping for something of similar quality.
I had no idea what the plot would reasonably be (I mean they saved the world last time, what can top that?).
Well turns out the creators did not seem to know either. The plot is so thin that it might as well not even have been there.
The countless flashbacks did nothing to serve as plot or character development.
The lack of variety in the scenes also took me out of it.
Most of the show is set in the same London street, which is obviously an in-door set the whole time.
Which was also a big shift from the first season, which I cannot recall I noticed any obvious sets.
The biggest thing that broke immersion for me was that the London street only had about 5 cars going on an infinite loop around it.
All of them electric, due to likely lot fogging up the set with car exhaust.
I really do hope they stop here.
Futurama (1999)
Season 11 is painful
I don't remember Futurama being this bad.
All the episodes so far have been painful to watch.
For example a whole episode about bitcoin, which is just dated by now. Even when bitcoin was fresh it would still have been a subpar episode.
It's just too on the nose.
The characters don't really have any adventure of their own going on as far as episode 4.
It's essentially just been parodies of movies (of pretty old movies) and events.
Episode 1 of the season was just a never ending "joke" about how the show was cancelled for a decade and did not introduce anything meaningful at all.
It seems obvious that the writers don't actually have anything unique to say in the world of Futurama anymore, which saddens me.
The next time the show gets put out to pasture, I hope it's the last time.
Beck: 58 minuter (2022)
Very lazy story
There is absolutely no realism to this movie.
Why is the homicide squad getting involved? Why is there not an actual negotiator involved? Why doesn't the police (other than the homicide squad) look into the perpetrator and see what his motives are.
Why did nobody in the studio call the police?
Why does nobody find it strange that the daughter was not at home, but its over an hour before class starts, so where is she?
Why would the police not go grab the guy the perpetrator wants? They should be interrogating that guy and trying to find out what the perpetrator wants.
Its just so exceptionally lazy in it's writing. You could have easily turned it into a decent story if they had done the work and tried to figure out how the police would handle these situations in real life.
Big disappointment. Hope this is not a new trend to the movies. If so I won't be watching them anymore.
Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020)
Great movie being review bombed for some reason
I honestly have no idea why people are bombing this movie with insincere reviews, but it is obviously a fact.
I liked what I saw in the trailer and watched it since it did really not seem to reflect the low score it has received.
A thoroughly enjoyable movie that deserves a high score.
Go watch it
