The Penguin: A Great or Little Thing (2024)
And all the Emmy's go to ..... masterpiece!!
What an absolute masterpiece of a show. Colin Ferrell was as usual, amazing ,as the penguin. The dark and gritty Gotham the director and creators created was absolutely perfect and the acting all around was phenomenal. The finale brought everything together with a real ruthless penguin ending. Or is it just the beginning ? Penguin finally rights all of the wrongs and everything comes to a crescendo as the penguin the player and politician is born. They told the story of him as a boy and his coming up on the streets masterfully. Each episode driving into the next. There was really no filler episode or plot that was boring . Everything was interesting and served a purpose in the story. I must say Colin Ferrell is just at the top of his game and he must win an Emmy for his portrayal of the penguin along with many other areas. Just a perfect ending to to penguin series . There's no happy ending and with penguin there really is nothing happy as he's ruthless psychopath but always somehow wins in the end on his own terms. Just a great series and last point, I'm happy there was no talk of Batman or no silly cameos. All penguin is all we needed. Truly a tragedy story and a great one at that.
Lioness: Bruise Like a Fist (2023)
Some silly things about this episode that don't make sense
Ok so the girl goes through all that torture and tests for good reason . The CIA wants her to be a solid agent . They check her head to toe for tatoos because that's what got the last agent killed in Iraq. So then they send her to make contact with the targets daughter to a beach party and pool party at her home in Chesapeake. My big issue is they send her directly from this training and interrogation where she is tortured and beaten and has these bruises all over her body and face lol. Why beat her like that just to have to explain all the bruises? The cover was a car accident but isn't that an insanely stupid risk when trying to be so thorough and not pass suspicion right away ? Like they tried to do everything possible to make her a great agent with no worry but right away she's explaining bruising all over her body when the targets daughter recommends she wear a bikini. It just seems very poorly thought out, and totally against what they were trying to do in the first place. I hate to knit pick things in a show like this but that was just to ridiculous not to mention lmao. Otherwise so far it's an ok show. Just seems Taylor Sheridan has so many irons in the fire and they can't all be great. I'll keep going because that would be silly to not watch . Now she has doctors inspecting her and asking questions right at the daughters home lol. Why do all that just to risk your agent over something dumb like explaining all these bruises that clearly are not from a car accident. Of course the daughter will be to dumb though and listen to every word and believe every ridiculous lie lol.
From: These Fragile Lives (2024)
Why am I still watching this show! OMG
I'm sorry but this show is endless meaningless plots and cliffhangers galore. We've yet to get really any answers in almost 3 seasons. I keep waiting week after week to really pay off. They hooked us in the first 2 episodes of the season as the previous 2 seasons did. These last 3 episodes have been really hard to get through. I get that time passes slowly as each episode is like a day in their lives but damn is it just drudging on. This episode had the boy who's seeing that woman that almost looks like the wife who got out of the place in the first episode. If you look at her she looks almost exactly like her ? Maybe she has some deeper meaning in all this that's going on. The boy that has been seeing her found that storm shelter and just maybe that will lead to something. The cop girl is actually asking questions but they all seem to have given up on theories and are not actively trying to figure out anything. Only the guy who loves all the puzzles and the guy who's been there since a kid are trying to solve puzzles. The rest just exist in the town and do nothing really. I hope this pays off somehow this season but I honestly don't see us getting much of an answer by the end of the season. I'm with the rest of the people. Frustrated and looking for answers somewhere. Enough with the constant cliffhangers although they have been very effective to keep us watching lol.
Grotesquerie: I Think I'm Dead (2024)
Why do they ruin these shows with incoherent nonsense
This show started out with such great promise. The murders and the plots along with the acting was superb. Then after episode 5 things started turning for the worse. It got very trippy which isn't necessarily bad, but also extremely confusing. The whole twist with Lois being in the coma was fine I guess, but the finale really gave us nothing. I don't know why they ruin these shows with horrendous endings. The murders were awesome and I just can't believe this is how it ended after so much promise. Least to say I was very disappointed. The question I guess remains is if she's dead or alive. I like how the previous episode ended but in the end it was just not that good unfortunately as it started out.
Sabaya (2021)
Eye opening and chilling doc
Wow. This documentary takes you into a refugee camp that exists from the wars in Iraq between isis and the military in that region. They had become Daesh. This camp brings first hand video into the sex slave industry that exists there. The Daesh fighters kidnap the young girls of a people there who are Kurdish called the yaidizi (sorry for bad spelling). These Isis fighters murdered these young girls families and then kidnap them and sell them to other Isis members. They are raped and forced to marry these men and become literally their slaves. They are beaten constantly by them and the complicit women in Isis. This camp called Al-hol is infiltrated by a group of women who work for an organization who finds them and releases them to a home that has been set up to get them back to their families. The men who do this are extremely heroic as it is probably one of the most dangerous places on earth. The footage is harrowing as these men risk their lives along with the "infiltrator" women that are working with them. They are constantly harrassed by Deash at every turn and literally fight them with weapons in their quests to do good. They save quite a bit of these captured women.
This takes you into a place that you cannot imagine unless you see it for yourself. The landscape and camp looks like hell on earth. It is a very different kind of sex slavery than in many countries in that these women are not shown off in clubs or out meeting clients under watch of pimps or captures. This girls , some less than 8 years old have to convert to Islam and read the Quran and are married and then bear children in many cases and then after being used up and tortured and raped they are resold to another Isis scum . Their stories are heartbreaking and you can feel the fear of the girls.
This is an important doc to show the world that places like this do exist. These older men put their lives on the line daily to help free these women in the cover of darkness . Excellent documentary and I would recommend it for anyone curious at just how dangerous and sick these fanatical men are to these poor and helpless girls. They are rehabilitated a little and sent back to whatever their family they have. One of the saddest parts is a lot of these families won't take in the children these young girls beaded for their captors. 8/10.
American Sports Story (2024)
Don't understand so much of the hate. Nothing new though
This is a subject that was done to very close detail on many true crime documentaries. It really was unlike anything we've seen before. You had a super star New England Patriot no less at the pinnacle of sports. He was moonlighting as a double murderer and criminal. So of course this is going to be done over and over. One of the reviewers wasn't totally wrong about the Ryan Murphy take. He usually show horns homosexuality into his work, but to be fair there were a lot of accusations about him being gay or bi sexual. It has a part to play in the story, especially him being this macho football player in NFL. So leaving that apart I think the actor does a good job at playing him. The story follows the facts for most part and then of course there is Hollywood stuff in the story. That goes for everything pretty much. Certain things are necessary for the sake of a full series and not everything is absolutely as it was. We will never get the whole story about who this monster was, but by now I think we have a good enough idea. Not since OJ has their been something like it, and Aaron Hernandez was actually convicted and doing these things while actively playing on Tom Brady led Patriot Super Bowl teams. I mean the story is incredible and made for tv. Basically a serial killer by night that we are watching and glorifying every Sunday in what is like religion in this country in the NFL. Anybody complaining on here that it puts Aaron in a bad light is totally missing the point or some kind of family member or something. Guy was a total monster who executed his friend in cold blood and left his body like garbage. Let's remember who the real victims were here. I don't care how bad his upbringing in Bristol was it doesn't excuse what he did. The angle that somehow if his sexuality could have freed him that he wouldn't have been a murderer is also a bit ridiculous to be kind. In the end it is a decent series but like I said you can get much more facts in any one of the 3-4 documentaries that Netflix or Oxygen channel did on him. This is typical Ryan Murphy style show and not a doc. So that is the major difference. It's not the worst thing I ever saw. If you never saw the Netflix doc or OXYGEN one then skip the show and just warm.
We Will Dance Again (2024)
One of the hardest docs I've ever watched
The documentary is shot in time from the start of the Nova rave party up until the very end. The images powerful and extremely hard to watch. Viewer discretion definitely advised, but much like 9/11 in America these photos and videos must be shown as accurately as they happened. The kids, because that's what many of them were or young adults were enjoying themselves much like we do in America. The big difference is that located a few miles away is an enemy that is fanatic and willing to die by the thousands for 1 Israeli. Many things parallel 9/11 to me from this terrorist attack on October 7th. You had the surprise of everyday innocent people who find themselves in the most horrible of situations, and in many circumstances doing extraordinary things and heroic acts to save others. When terror strikes by these Hamas terrorists or any terrorists the results are gruesome and deadly.
In the film they follow many of these Israelis as they hide and flee from these coward terrorists. The footage is shocking and incredibly sad. There is a video of a young man who is tossing out grenades from a shelter full of people until they can no longer stop the attack. It's in these moments when some do extraordinary things and feats of bravery , like shield other from spraying bullets and sacrificing themselves. These are life changing events that Normal people are not psychologically ready for or should ever have to make decisions during, but somehow the will to live causes people to do and go beyond what they ever expected.
This is a very important film, and it is important so that people who have never witnessed terrorism or think that somehow it is exaggerated or made up can see. These Hamas murderers raped, mutilated, burned alive, and tortured innocent people on October 7th. Somehow in a twisted fanatical ideology instilled in these terrorists as children they think that these Israelis as they do Americans are somehow part of military orders that killed their people and take their land. They cannot fight against a military so they go for innocent people to shock and instill fear, but much like 9/11 these events bring people together and their mission always fails. Now Israel is pounding Hamas into submission, much like the US did to Afghanistan. They should be able to protect themselves with full back of civil nations.
I'm finishing, it was a film that needs to be seen and it was done as best as something like that day could have been portrayed by firsthand accounts and camera phone footage. Many made it out alive from the Nova rave area but over 150 did not, and I think from the footage it was more. The carnage went on for miles. The biggest issue I have with that day is how there was such a slow reaction from IDF and local police. I know the few tried and many were killed because they were so few with small arms. Israeli needs to come clean with what really happened as far as a breakdown in their forces and walls that seemed to be totally ineffective in protecting these young people. I hope as was with 9/11 that Israel has a commission and answer these poor grieving families as to what was done wrong and what they promise to do in the future to protect innocent Israelis from these fanatical terrorist.
Grotesquerie: The Bender (2024)
Just wow. Maybe best show on tv right now
This show just keeps getting better and better. The murders are gruesome and the atmosphere and mood is very tense. It kind of reminds me a little of True detective season with the way the murders are staged. We have learned the killers name and things are getting worse each passing day. I mean wow, they certainly don't just make this show about 1 murder in the beginning but it seems to not stop. The show is quite terrifying at times. It is shot beautifully and gives the viewer a sense of dread with each passing scene. Very se7en like . I'm loving this show so far. I think it's one of the best on the air at the moment. Definitely not for the faint of heart. Extremely gory and well Grotesque, hence the name. I'm hooked.
Grotesquerie (2024)
Very good and dark
I hate that you can review an actual series by the first episode on IMDB because it can be very misleading but the start is very dark and scary.
A family is brutally murdered and a detective with a tough background is on the case to solve who is behind such a heinous killing. It looks like it will take you into the cult world of devil worshiping and other dark areas of that culture. It reminds a bit of Se7en . Very gruesome hence the name and the acting , especially the lead is superb which was expected from this actress. They do a good job with the characters and the way it is filmed is excellent. They do lots of closeups and camera tricks to really show the mood and the creepy nature of the show. It also reminds a bit like American horror story in that way. Don't be fooled though, this is not AHS. So far through the first couple of episodes it hits the mark. Scary, very atmospheric and creepy as well as violent and gory. It touches on everything as well as having a very good detective story and plots going on for any horror fan. This is the best time of year for fans of horror as we have come to wait for shows like AHS and the haunting of hill house, fsll of house of usher, Netflix monster series etc. I think Grotesqeria wil not disappoint . Through 3 episodes though it is quite good 👍.
From: Shatter (2024)
A great start. It's the first episode people !!
People need to relax. After what I thought was an absolute disaster of a season 2 this season premiere opened up very well and ended quite crazy. For those saying there's nothing new in plots I beg to differ. The wife who is now in Maine is a brand new plot to the story as she tracks down Victors father. Remember Victor is an original character in the village so unlocking information about him will lead to more about where they are. You have the Korean kids grandmother who they left on a cliffhanger if she's dead or alive. The townspeople are now at the beginning of the end with no food or resources being available. The monsters are starting to get very bold slso. We got a small look at the end inside how they operate and frankly their intelligence and role in this whole "experiment" or whatever it is that is going on. This episode was as good as any last season. If you want great writing and substance along with Emmy nominated acting then you're watching the wrong show people. Go to another Chanell for that. This episode was creepy and has that "walking dead" kind of feel, meaning you have many characters coming and going (if you know what I mean) and many different plots happening all at once. So it's a great start to a 3rd season where I'm really hoping they tie into the reason why they are there and who is really behind all of this. The characters are getting more interesting . It's the season premiere!! Everyone wants all the answers to things in the first episode of the season and that's just silly. Let's see where it goes, but for someone who almost ditched the series after last season they have me back on the hook for now. Let's hope they keep it up and don't go backwards.
I gotta say IMDB reviews have gotten so unreliable. So many sham reviews it's ruining IMDB.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power: Doomed to Die (2024)
Classic LOTR battle and overall great episode
I have no understood a lot of the hate for this season. There is a lot of stories and moving parts that must be told and spread out for purposes of continuity and the story making sense. So therefore like the wonderful films there will be a lot of dialogue and non action episodes. I think they have done a great job mixing in enough adventure with the "slower" more dialogue driven scenes and episodes.
This episode pays off for the people complaining they are not seeing a battle in every episode. The rings are all but made and Sauron's plan is working. The battle commenced and the orcs are laying siege. As with all battles in LOTR the formula is the same. The battle for good and evil. Evil is winning but ultimately good prevails, or does it ? The Orc father's intentions are not totally clear and what he wants from Galatria and the elves is certainly not good for all. Some more answers to the story progress without giving any spoilers. The dwarfs story also progresses with the king being enslaved by the ring . It all comes together in a great battle. This will drag into the finale I'm sure for a great finish to the season. The creators have done a great job at keeping the show as close to the quality of the movies. The visual effects and how they created middle earth is visually stunning. I have loved both seasons so far and think they have done a fantastic job . Great episode.
Wise Guy: David Chase and the Sopranos: Part Two (2024)
Anything sopranos is great. NO SEQUEL!!
Sopranos is I think the greatest show ever and without a doubt the best show ever made on HBO, which says a lot since they have had such excellent and ground breaking content. The perfect cast of characters and actors written authentically into a masterful script and on locations of areas that were where mobsters and wise guys are from. Sopranos was at a time when American cable television was really doing different and edgy shows. HBO collaborated with chase now on various shows that were very successful but none as great as Sopranos. It humanized and made you root for the bad guy. The mobster, murderer and family man all at once. This series dives into a lot of background stuff and some demons Gandolfini had as the show progressed and took on this life of it own. It was the biggest show at the time and HBO seemed to not treat the actors very fairly contract wise as it was ending. They managed to make every season awesome and the writing was brilliant and raw and at most times absolutely hysterical. I grew up in New York and not far obviously from New Jersey and I'll tell you these characters although not really based on anyone guy in particular was spot on to how these wise guys and even wannabes acted and talked down to mannerisms and everything. Just a perfect show really about a mobster and his family both in crime and outside.
I must say that they have tried a film which had Gandolfinis son and based on the characters and it wasn't great to be nice. People calling for a sequel will only be disappointed and criticize it in the end. Sopranos itself cannot be duplicated or made as a spinoff that would work without gandolfini as Tony . It won't work and some things are just better left as they are. Not everything needs to be recreated and retold because people want it. I know fans would be dissatisfied if they tried to make anything resembling as a sequel or with other characters. It would be terrible and I don't think it will happen. The actors were all superb and hilarious and everyone would be trying to compare characters to Paulie or Silvio or Puss etc.. and it can't be done.
Let's be happy we can always go back and enjoy the treasure that was Chases masterpiece The Soprano's. Never again in this day and age of political correctness and DEI and everyone so sensitive of being offended will they be able to create a show like Sopranos. It came before this country changed on 9/11 and after when this country became a very different place in so many ways good and mostly bad. Television today is whitewashed of nudity and any kind of content that makes certain groups angry and it ruins it for the rest of us. I digress. Wise guy was great only I wish we got more about some of the darker side of behind the scenes even though they give you some great gems. Overall 8/10 and if you loved Sopranos like I did then you will definitely enjoy the 2 part series about David Chase and his making and creating The Sopranos.
In the Eye of the Storm (2024)
The most terrifying show on television right now
No, this isn't a horror show or about any monsters or haunted houses. The monster in Eye of the storm , the latest and welcomed hit show from discovery, is Mother Nature itself. The first person video and audio from storm chasers to regular citizens is absolutely harrowing and will leave you speechless. These storms you May remember hearing about if you were lucky enough to not have been in their paths. We don't see how truly terrifying it is to live through a tornado blowing through our homes and communities or a hurricane . Discovery has truly hit a home run with this new series and its must see. The horror that you will feel and sadness for these people is great and the respect you have for Mother Nature when she decides to get nasty. The production is very impressive and the way it is showed in chronological order from beginning to end in real time is unprecedented in television. Eye of the storm offers something that I have not witnessed from any Hollywood production because no person could ever truly reproduce the power of the weather. These stories are real and raw and show the best of people in the worst imaginable situations. It's about perfect in the shocking way it is all presented. Must watch !!!
Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty (2022)
Why cancel this right in middle. Terrible decision by HBO
I get these networks have to make decisions and can only do a certain amount of shows in a year , but they could have let this finish streaming on MAX and not on its Sunday lineup. I understand if the show was a piece of garbage but it was not at all. I thought it was highly entertaining and very well acted . Adam McKay is brilliant director and John C Riley is a legend. The show was great. There's no doubt about it and I don't know any sports lover regardless if your a lakers or even a basketball fan did not anticipate each episode on Sundays. Honestly how many Game of Thrones can you put on. To be honest HBO is nowhere near what it was and the shows they put on are pretty much boring . The days of sopranos and deadwood and great series like band of brothers is sadly gone from HBO. I never understood canceling a show that is popular before they get a chance to wrap it up and leaving the audience with a sense that they wasted their time watching it in the first place. I know the writer Hecht said he wasn't mad at HBO but that's what a smart writer would say for sake of his career, but I'll say it for him . F HBO !!! . They put a show like "regime" on instead of another season of winning time ?? Really ?. Netflix or one of the streaming sites should pick it up 100%. They have surpassed HBO anyway 15 years ago. Another great show ruined by HBO to put on what exactly ? I haven't been excited to watch an HBO series in a while and they just made another reason not to. CANCELLING WINNING TIME WAS A HUGE MISTAKE !!!
Masters of the Air: Part Five (2024)
Not much to say that hasn't been said. Best episode so far
Definitely the best episode so far, and the reason is simple. More action and combat and less nonsense. These men's stories are important and the show must have more to it than just combat, but it must be the right proportion. There's no mistake why everyone says this episode was the best. The action always draws viewers of war shows over substance. The mission and the air battles were amazing. Imagine the horror of not only being in one of these flying fortresses during battle but then having to jump out of one that is going down in flames. Just remarkable bravery. I'm hopeful the rest of this series will come together and be another great one from Hanks/spielberg. I'm sure they will shed some light on these downed pilots escapes from enemy territory. I think the most hazardous and scariest place during war would probably be a submarine but a close 2nd would have to be in the air during combat. Great episode . Hope it keeps up this way.
Masters of the Air: Part Four (2024)
They don't have many episodes left to blow me away
I think it would serve best to not compare this to Band of Brothers or even Pacific although difficult to do. So far it's good but not what I was expecting. I'm not crazy about the characters and the Elvis guy isn't much of an actor if you ask me. The combat is much more difficult I'm sure to shoot for aerial combat than ground fighting as well as more expensive. It is such an important story to be told of these brave boys who had extremely low odds of coming back each mission so I'm glad it is being told. This episode was slow and there is always one of these in the BOB and pacific series. I mean it is not hard to tell they are trying to replicate it in many ways. More fighting and less nonsense would be great. I will of course stay with it but so far this was slowest and worst episode. We all know these guys went off and got laid but they showed zero combat scenes when they finally bombed the U-boat pens. Maybe the next episode will show a flashback of that mission otherwise what a waste. So far not great and not 8/10 overall. Cmon people. We all want to love it but it has not hit the mark yet. Just MO.
Maseukeugeol (2023)
Not bad but how can anyone buy that she's ugly !!
The show is interesting so far a few episodes through but is anybody really buying that this chick is some hideous monster ? I mean she's extremely pretty with a great body and supposed to be smart with a good job. Where is the undesirable parts about her.? I understand they needed to get someone and I guess she doesn't look like the prototypical Asian girl (again I don't see it) . The looks aside of the main actress it is pretty funny and is definitely not some of the real garbage Netflix has been putting out lately and passing for series. I'll stick around and stay put for the rest but man is she so not ugly .
From: Ball of Magic Fire (2023)
Same writers as Lost. We should have known. Just bad all around
Wow. What a total derailment of a show in the 2nd season after such promise. Another episode and still more mystery and guessing. Unfinished plots everywhere. The girl who came back who killed her brother is unwatchable and possibly one of the worst actresses I've ever seen. Now it's giant killer locusts flying around killing people or not killing people ? I don't know where to start with this convoluted mess of a season. I think that weird nursery rhyme about it comes for 3 has to do with those locusts who killed the annoying guy who was pissing everybody off. The guys wife who was in bed and now it's either the daughter or the drug addict girl who will be the 3rd one ?? Those "silver bile bullets" lol. Guess those were another dead end. The music came on the radio signal which stopped the creatures who we still know less about than the very first episode. Why, what, when, all questions still a total mystery. I'd say that was good if we had an inkling as to a reason in 18 episodes. Let's just say the finale better be some of the best television I've seen to save this titanic of a show.. lastly, the writers are the ones from Lost and I didn't know that until recently. We all shoulda known from that and saved ourselves in the beginning from this nonsense. The budget must have been under a million dollars for this because the acting and filming location etc.. are nothing special to be nice. I'm now curious as to how badly they will polish this turd off. What a disappointment!!
Never Have I Ever: ...had my dream stolen (2023)
Great show, but am I the only one noticing a pattern of racism
So I think the show is great and very inclusive and all that stuff. It hits on every race , but I notice some under tones of racism or say strong stereotypes of white people. Now I know when ok if you are stereotyping white people over any other but should I point out each character and the flaws of them portrayed. They make the boys in Devys school like Ben gross as the rich entitled snob. Or the "hot pockets" as thief's and dumbasses. Devys grandma BF Jeff Garlan is some kind of thief con man. The mom says "slamming doors is for white children". If any of these roles were switched to a person of color people would be on here slamming the show as being racist. I just want to point out the hypocrisy we have in this country when it comes to racism and stereotypes. I must say I enjoy the show , and personally don't really care about these aspects, but I don't see anybody bringing this up and it's simply because if it's racist towards white or Caucasian people it simply flies and is not that serious. If this show was about a white kid from a a upper class family and it portrayed the grandmas new black boyfriend as a scammer or the screw ups and thief's at school were all black nobody would probably watch the show and be on IMDB and other social media crucifying the writers and creators as super racist and not "woke". All the white characters have strange or plain bad qualities but I guess if your gonna have to have the screw ups and idiots to be in the show and to be a certain race it may as well be the white ones where it's ok to stereotype and make fun of without Zero backlash. The only person who doesn't get stereotyped is John Macenroe but he's just a narrator and that idea was brilliant. Great show but I had to point this out.
From: Belly of the Beast (2023)
Oh boy .. What happened to this show. Talk about a flop
Once again we get an episode that teeters on possibly giving us something of an answer to who and what and why only to fold onto the same boring dragged out plots we've been dealing with all season. They start something that seems like it will be a breakthrough and just leave us on a cliffhanger, and I don't mean a good one. There's too much going on and not enough answers to the plots they are tossing out to us. The weird guy just stumbled around giving us nothing but clips of what could be an answer only to go on about the stupid drawings that we have no answer to what they mean or serve a purpose for. The acting is HORRIBLE and the writing is lazy. I warned people they were not expecting to probably even have a second season and rushed to try and put something together. So far they've failed miserably. Unless the last few episodes blow me away which let's be honest is not going to happen then I'd say this was one of the worst 2nd seasons and let down I can recently remember for a TV show. I mean I'm surprised the overall rating hasn't dropped to a 6. I'm being overly generous with a 5. I just want 1 answer next episode or at least the conclusion to 1 of these ridiculous plots that we get no answer to each week. A tip to the writers would be to at least finish a plot before you start 3 new ones each episode. My lord does this stink lol.
The Idol: Double Fantasy (2023)
I'm I the only one that doesn't hate this totally ?
I think people are giving this way to harsh a critic. It's a guilty pleasure for sure , so take it as that. I'm hearing a lot of people over analyzing this show because The Weknd can't act and and Johny Depps daughter isn't him and lots of nonsense. I think this episode was pretty decent getting into the way these pop stars are used and abused at times. More so in the 90s and early 2000s as I think the music business has evolved from over working these poor girls to death. This episode shows that even though Jocelyn is the star she must jump and run around like she's in a 3 ring circus. The whole Tedros thing is starting to get a little interesting as he's obviously going to brain wash her and take total advantage of a crumbling soul that is Jocelyn. Now I'm not saying this show will win any awards , and it's certainly not HBO finest, but it may get interesting and if for nothing else it will kind of shock you a bit with its wild sex scenes and crazy soundtrack. If it's not for you that's fine but I find it funny that people come on to destroy it now for a 2nd week but are obviously intrigued as well or they wouldn't be writing or rating about it. Maybe give Depps girl a shot. She doesn't seem talentless . She just plays a pop starlet lol. Im going to keep going. It's got my interest for another week.
Ted Lasso: So Long, Farewell (2023)
A Great diamond dogs send off
Well this looks like it for Ted Lasso and it's incredible run, though short it was a beautiful show . It was very positive, and unlike most shows on these days. It was about love and friendship, and heartache and life. The characters were wonderful. Dare I say any one character you truly hated to see in a scene. The episode was a nice send off to Ted with Richmond almost going out on top, but really nobody losses here. I'm really going to miss Ted Lasso, and the wonderful cast and way the show made me and I'm sure millions of people feel. Maybe somewhere there is a spin-off I'm sure or Ted Lasso comes back after a hiatus. Let's hope so because there weren't many like it. The show took the world by storm for its positive messages and very funny humor. We truly got it all with Ted Lasso. Diamond Dogs... Out !!!

I think better, but no means saved the season
This episode was definitely an upgrade to the past few episodes for sure, but by no means saved the season. We need much more revelations and good reasons as to why the group is there and the whole deal with the creatures. It was a pretty good step in the right direction at least with the whole Boyd blood transfer to the creature. That looks like it was a peak into something about maybe how they can kill the creatures or something along those lines. Still though it hops around the same boring storylines way to much. I think we now need to find out a solid reason as to why they are all there, or at least a morsel of something that's going to lead into the rest of the season as to why. There's obviously someone watching because of that radio transmission, but that was final episode of last season for gods sake. Since then we literally have radio silence about any answers. Where did Boyd go and what are these alternate type realities they jump in and out of in the tree or caves around the town. So although the final 15 minutes were at least entertaining, it simply is t enough. They need to really ramp up the plot lines and answer questions. Like I said about yellowjackets show. I think this show wasn't intended to be so popular and get a season 2 , and I think they just threw together something for a season and what we get is a mixed bag of and shoddy plot development. Just seems like a ton of filler mixed in with portions that are relevant to the story. Simply put, they were not totally prepared and didn't have much time to make a solid season 2. Just a theory on that though.

Like the beginning song... no return
Ok, so this season we can all agree was not nearly as good as season 1. I have a theory about these shows that become popular but we're not intended to be so welcomed series's much like the show From for example. They never really thought out a solid season 2 to this show so what you get is kind of a messy bag for season 2. Almost forced together and outrageous shoddy plots that have holes everywhere. This whole season has been building up to something it doesn't deliver. We just get scenes in the wild that are for shock value but not much else. Then the group as they are now running around trying to cover up a murder and dealing with their own problems they "brought back" from the wilderness with them. The Finsle was not very good at all but much like the entire season it did not deliver. Still more questions that I don't even think the writers of the show know how to answer well. Sad to say this show really struggled this season and I don't know if they can recover , but there will be another season so who knows. I think they were not prepared and threw this season together on the fly. Just to many things going on that have t really gone anywhere.

Is anything going to happen this season ??
I'm watching week after week hoping to get some payoff after a great season 1, but it seems to be a lot of filler and stories that don't pan out into anything. We are 5 episodes in now to season 2 and we have just more questions and are getting no really good answers to why they are all there, and the creatures etc... Were they not prepared to get to a season 2 with this show ? I'm going to stick with it because I really think there can be a great payoff somewhere but it's getting late into the season for really nothing to happen. I really hope it picks up starting next week because it's shaping up to be a classic dud of a show at this pace.
