Dear Santa (2024)
Wish for a better movie
I wish this movie was better. The premise sounds really funny, dyslexic kid accidentally writes to satan instead of Santa Clause and Jack Black responds. Hilarity then ensued! But unfortunately the writers worked to make this movie as bad as possible. They forgot to include the humor and even threw in the death of a little kid and a divorce that follows. Talk about super awkward! This totally killed any potential for a light hearted comedy. It also killed any potential for the audience to like it as well.
And what was up with the really bad Post Malone scene and the terrible therapist stuff? Made me feel like I suffered a medical emergency.
I also don't get why holly rollers are so worked up? It's a comedy, you fools.
Brothers (2024)
Not funny, unfortunately
The movie trailer is a lot funnier than the actual movie. Very misleading. The trailer looks great and I was looking forward to seeing the movie but unfortunately this film forgot to include comedy.
It feels more like a sad family drama for the brothers and the police officer chasing them. The story is also weak and has a lot of plot holes. I found myself fast forwarding through the movie just to find funny or interesting scenes. Unfortunately there weren't any.
In the end you really don't care about any of the characters. This had a descent cast with the brothers and Brendan Fraisier but unfortunately fell flat.
The Belko Experiment (2016)
This movie sucks!
I think the real experiment is, "Who is dumb enough to sit and watch this movie in it's entirety and not fast forward".
The Belko Experiment really sucks. It has an ultra thin story with no depth. There is no point to this movie.
In the end you hope to find out it was all just in someone's mind or it was all simulated or something else along those lines but the ending is far worse, it was all real. And the explanation for it all is far dumber than any reason you could imagine. There is no real plot or story to this.
I definitely had to fast forward through most of this sucker because the dialogue, plot and acting were all so bad. They say James Gunn wrote this in two weeks and it shows. I'm glad I never paid to see this and I feel bad for the suckers who spent money to watch this in the movie theatre. They are the ones who really suffered. I'm so grateful no sequels were ever made.
Thanksgiving (2023)
This bird is done! 🍗
Dr. Dreamy tries to become Dr. Screamy and ends up making a crappy movie. 💩
If you ever wanted to see what a human turkey with all of the fixins looks like, watch this movie.
As a horror film this movie was terrible. They should have sold it as an absurd comedy/horror film. There is nothing scary in this movie. If anything, it made me laugh a lot!
The premise is really weak and the story doesn't make much sense. The acting is also cheesy. You don't care about any of the actors. From the very beginning you can tell this is going to be a bad movie but I kept watching to see how each character dies.
I recommend this movie if you want a good laugh.
Salem's Lot (2024)
This movie really sucks! Blah blah blah 🦇🦇🦇
Wow!! Everyone in this movie was a really bad actor. It would have been better to call this a comedy. The acting was so bad and cheesy it would have made more sense to call it a campy, cheesy scary movie. And the story really sucks.
The movie was as dead as the town. I'm sure if Dracula stuck around long enough he would have died of boredom or intentionally flung himself into the daylight.
The acting was as bad as the dialogue. All of the actors were so bad in this that I started rooting for Dracula to eat them. Unfortunately once he did they came back as undead terrible actors. Who knew it could get worse? Blah blah blah.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024)
Bad Movie, Bad Movie, Bad Movie
As Beetlejuice said, "What the f##k?!!" This felt like a film school student wanted to make some weird, crappy avant-garde movie about Beetlejuice. This movie was bad, bad, bad and I felt like I needed a shower after watching it. I'm going to pretend the first movie is the only movie that exists.
It's difficult to say which part of this movie was the worst part, but I'm going to go with the wedding musical number at the end. It was supper weird and made everyone in the theater feel uncomfortable. It was as uncomfortable as if someone sitting on the bus across from you is staring at you and all of a sudden they start singing an old crappy love song to you while never breaking eye contact and you can't get away from them.
The Soul Train scene was also craptastic. It's an insult to the old TV show and should have nothing to do with this movie.
The movie had too many bad stories going on at the same time and should have stuck to just one bad story. It wanted to be RIPD meets Ghost Whisperer meets Wednesday meets Beetlejuice meets the Corpse's Bride meets disappointment. And on top of everything it had very little Beetlejuice.
Boy Kills World (2023)
Boy Kills Movie
What a crappy movie! This should have gone straight to streaming.
I can't believe Famke agreed to make this movie. She must be desperate for money.
The entire time watching this movie I kept thinking, "it's going to get better." But it never did. They had a pretty good cast but an awful story. It felt like something that a wannabe avant- guard film student with a budget would make.
The main character always seemed to be high or hallucinating and I think the audience also needed to be high or hallucinating in order to enjoy this movie. I don't recommend anyone watch this movie. It will make you regret wasting your time on it.
Civil War (2024)
Bad, Really Bad
The movie trailer is waaaayyyy better than the actual movie. The trailer simply repeats the only 10 minutes in the entire movie that have any action. And it wasn't much action.
The movie is mostly just a lot of footage of Kirsten Dunst mumbling and having flashbacks. You can tell from the very beginning Kirsten is going to die in the end and the really dumb girl was going to take over. The dumb girl was very stupid and annoying. She got hit in the head with a full swing from a police baton but didn't bleed or get a bump, not even a bruise. And from that point they choose to take this dummy on the road with them to a war zone.
Just a really bad movie. Don't waste your time watching it.
Star Trek: Lower Decks (2020)
Not Bold, Just Boring
Set phasers to stupid. Lots of yelling and arguing, not much space exploration.
The best episode of this entire show was episode 1, season 1. After that the show never knows what it wants to be. It's just a mess of arguing, yelling and whining. It's not much of a Star Trek show. The motto of the show is to boldly go,... yet it doesn't. It's just a repetitive cliche with very little alien interaction.
The two main characters are highly annoying and the mom is just an angry woman. The daughter is a rebellious child and each episode focuses too much on her. I kept watching the show because I was hoping the writers would one day wake up and realize the show is supposed to be about Star Trek and not a bunch of yelling but they never do. Boiler is a whinny wimp which is the character Jack Quaid plays on whichever show he is on, including Superman.
I'm really disappointed because this could have been a great show.
Rebel Ridge (2024)
Terrible Ridge
First of all, the title of a movie should have something to do with the movie. In this case rebel ridge is just something someone randomly says in the movie,... once.
The trailer of this movie is 100 times better than the actual movie. It makes you think this tough former marine is going to bring the pain to this small town police force but nope! He just rides around on his BMX bicycle in what looks like the bayou while getting run over by the police. It would have been better calling this movie a comedy than an action movie. The guy literally does nothing! Several times he just seems to say, "well, I guess this is it" and prepares to die.
It's a huge waste of time with a crappy story. Don Johnson should have retired from acting before making this movie.
Kite Man: Hell Yeah! (2024)
Kite Man? Really?!!! Hell No!!!!
Kite Man is such an idiot. I don't understand why he got his own show. He wasn't even a sidekick in Harley's show. Bane should have gotten his own show. He's the funniest character in all of this. A second option should have been Poison Ivy's foul-mouth plant.
Kite Man has no powers and only uses a kite. Batman has no powers yet he figured out how to be a badass and keep up with super powered villains. All it would take to end Kite Man would be one bad draft. He's as lame as his power.
Bane is funny! He's goofy and always trying to make friends and he can always power up to break things whenever needed. Kite Man was such a poor choice.
A Quiet Place: Day One (2024)
A Boring Place 👽🍕
For a prequel with the title, "day one" you hope to learn what happened in the beginning of this alien invasion. You want to learn about where these creatures come from, what our government and scientists knew about them, what worked against them and what didn't work. You also want to know what these things want. You get none of this in this prequel.
Instead you follow around a character that doesn't want to survive because she has a terminal disease with only a few days left to live. She just wants one last slice of pizza and will do whatever it takes to get it. Sounds like a dumb idea for an alien invasion movie to me - "don't make it about the aliens".
The aliens are just background noise in this. They are extras hired to fill in for whatever is going on in the background and aren't that important to the story, making this an ultra boring movie.
A Quiet Place: Day 2 will probably be about a wheelchair bound librarian trying to collect on an overdue book in Florida. Riveting!
Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One (2023)
Boring!!
Way too long and ridiculously boring!!!
I can't believe I accepted the mission to watch this incredibly stupid movie. It repeats all of the scenes from the other movies: rubber masks, a firefight in the dessert, a 40 minute car chase in Europe, To Cruise jumping off of something, another 40 minute shoot out, blah blah blah, ... SNORE!!! 😴
There is also a lot of whispering for no apparent reason. Also, there is no reason why this two hour movie is a part 1. They should have wrapped it up in this film.
Also, whenever the villain is A. I. you can bet it's going to be a really boring movie. I won't watch part 2 when it comes out.
Batman: Caped Crusader (2024)
Great show! 🦇🦇🦇
It's nice to see a modern day Batman show. I appreciate the fresh new stories and takes on old characters.
The animation is great! The stories are new and interesting - adapted to our world today, and the voices are on point!
It's funny to think that people who believe there is an infinite number of universes get so upset when there are changes to the Batman story. I laugh really hard at their comments and poor reviews because it's different. They are so upset that their mom will need to change their sheets in the basement they are living in.
What's great about Batman is that he is a rich one per-center that would rather spend his time trying to make the world a better place. Yet throw in some diversity and these toothless fools lose it. 😂
I look forward to many seasons of this show. Well done J. J.
The Big Bang Theory (2007)
More drama than comedy
The show was really funny during the first few seasons but then turned into a soap opera and lost the comedy. Even the laugh track became boring.
The initial premise of the show is what made it funny. A group of awkward, single, nerdy guys hang out with a wannabe actress that only has a high school education and learn from her that they don't know everything.
Once the other girls were introduced and the guys were in relationships and got married the show became a soap opera and lost what made it funny. They took the most ridiculously single guy, Howard, and turned him into a married guy with kids. Way to neuter the most flamboyant character of the show. He married a shrill, demanding woman that turned him into a chihuahua for the remaining 6 or 7 seasons of the show. Even Sheldon got married and became a real boy. His draw was that he was never a real boy.
The show then took on a soap opera feel from the writing to the lighting to the laugh track. It became a drama with relationship issues. Snore 😴 💤
Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland (2016)
Incredibly Stupid
I have no idea why this movie was made. The story is absolutely stupid. These were never great actors on the TV show but at least they were in funny situations. This movie is not funny at all and everyone looks much older, like they are in their mid thirties.
The concept was horrible. I guess they were hoping to make a little money following whatever small success the television show ever had. They should have stopped with the television show. Even if this movie came with drugs no one would enjoy it. Like I said before, the story is really, really, really stupid. It's more moronic than the worst episode they ever made.
Game of Thrones (2011)
Big buildup with little satisfaction
It was Ned Stark's duty to tell his wife the truth about Jon Snow but he keeps his mouth shut and no one dies, including Jon Snow. Jon Snow knows the secret for 10 seconds and feels it's his "duty" to tell his sisters and a million people die at King's Landing, plus he murders the Drago Queen without giving her a chance to defend herself. What an idiot.
I would have preferred Jon Snow dies at the end and the story of the Dragon Queen continues, without having lost her mind. Just as she was starting to become interesting she is killed off. There was so much more story to her.
Also, the Lanisters should have had a violent death, like getting eaten by Drogon. Not a death where it looks like they fell asleep in each other's arms. Very disappointing ending for the show.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023)
Historically boring!
It's such a boring movie that I can't get past the first 45 minutes, so I'm attempting to watch in in batches. I'm a big fan of the first three movies which is the only reason I'm going to try to watch this entire film, some day.
The characters really suck! I can't stand the archeological thief girl. She is terrible. I also don't understand why Indy is still fighting Nazi's all these years later. Aren't there other villains in the world? And all of the visual effects are bad! You can see a black outline around Indy and anyone else in the scene from the green screen.
They should have put Indy in some other type of archeological adventure befitting of his age and abilities. Perhaps he is in the retirement home in search of the last tapioca pudding.
American Fiction (2023)
Disappointing ending
I'm not a fan of the ending. The movie does a great job introducing you to a complicated character who cannot connect with the rest of the world only to reveal it was just a movie within a movie. So whatever you feel for this character can change just as easily as the fictional, fictional ending changes several times. This made me feel nothing for this character. What a bummer.
They had a good story until they took it all away and it literally became nothing. They should have started with the ending first and let the viewer decide if you want to move forward in watching this. I won't watch the sequel.
Mother of the Bride (2024)
Terrible!
A waste of time. There isn't a single good scene in this entire movie. This is just as bad as Adam Sandler's "Grown Ups" movies.
This is a poorly written movie with a lot of bad acting. Brooke Shields is terrible in this. Her acting is horrendous. She does one bad scene after another. Every other actor is bad too. Throughout the movie you don't care about the story or any of the characters. I fell asleep a few times during the movie.
There is no conflict, there is no drama and there is no comedy. This movie is another reason the film industry is dying. With junk like this around who wants to waste time watching a Netflix movie? Netflix movies are all terrible.
X-Men '97 (2024)
Very disappointing!
This continuation of X-Men 97 is very disappointing, weird, and boring!
No one ever said "I want to watch a soap opera starring the X-Men". This cartoon really sucks! The story is boring, jumps around and is pointless. It makes absolutely no sense. Who wants to watch the X-Men cry and have emotional and dramatic scenes? I want to watch them fight using their powers against well written villains. Wolverine's voice is terrible and Magneto is drawn to look like a drag queen having a bad wardrobe day.
I bet someone used chat gpt to write all of the positive reviews. They should have used chat gpt to write a better script. This is a pile of 💩.
Fallout (2024)
Well done!
At first I thought it was going to be a goofy show based on a video game and I started watching with low expectations. I was pleasantly surprised when I realized this show has an intricate story with great character development.
The story is interesting and with each episode reveals another layer of this Fallout world and makes you want to keep watching. I think the cast is fantastic! The main girl is my favorite character. She does a great job in selling you her rosy point of view on life. I really like Maximus and the ghoul as well. I look forward to learning more about the ghoul and his origins. I can't wait for season two.
3 Body Problem (2024)
Frustratingly slow
It's a slow burn science fiction show with major plot issues.
The aliens become afraid of humans and decide to exterminate us when they learn that we are capable of not telling the truth on purpose, lying. Yet several months before they leaned that humans can lie the aliens sent an advanced AI computer to Earth that would completely change actual results of all of our scientific experiments and provide us with false information, A LIE. Their advanced computer is lying to us so that our technology never advanced to a level that can one day destroy these invaders. They are capable of lying and should destroy themselves.
The scene where the wire that can cut through anything was used to kill was intense. I don't understand why the scientist that created it had to watch everything on the monitors and then was allowed to sift through the body parts. She was really annoying.
Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)
Probably the worst Spider-Man ever
Who is worse: Tom Holland or Toby Maguire? What a whinny, annoying little man. I guess the point of the script is to be as annoying as possible. These Tom Holland Spider-Man movies are just as good as Venom. 👎🏼
Again, this guy whines throughout the entire movie and is super awkward and super clumsy. His entourage is just as annoying. The guy in the chair does nothing and the girlfriend is terrible. They have no personality. I hope Marvel reboots Spider-Man with a better cast and better stories.
I wait for these movies to go to Disney + and fast forward through most of them. The action isn't even worth watching. The guy can do a sideways flip - so what? That doesn't make a movie good.
Candy Cane Lane (2023)
Wish it was better
I wish it was better. The movie has a great look and a great leading cast with Eddie Murphy and Julian Bell. Unfortunately only Julian Bell was funny. I only laughed during her scenes.
I think the issue was the story. It wasn't very good and it was boring. I really didn't care what the problem was or what Eddie Murphy was trying to accomplish. The live coverage of Candy Cane lane made no sense and the reporters were terrible actors. The news coverage came out of no where. The movie was a mix of a bunch of bad parts and recycled stories. If it's going to recycle a story it needs to be as good as the original or better. I don't ever want to see this movie again.
