Just passing the time with my passion, movies, and TV shows. I'm honestly pretty lazy sometimes, but I'm trying to write more reviews if I feel like my view is unique, or just because I want to share my thoughts. I try to rate things more objectively, meaning that my enjoyment of the movie isn't the main factor I rate by, I may love a movie, but if I find flaws in it I will drop my score, but film is subjective so enjoyment still factors. I should note that I probably have some leniency with Superhero content, animated content, especially for children, older stuff, for TV shows if it's episodic, studio interference, and cheaper stuff. For movies and TV shows I've never rated something a perfect 10/10, because I believe it has to be something that is truly flawless, but recently for TV shows I have become a bit more lenient and rated a few TV seasons a perfect 10/10. That may change though, I very often shift around my ratings. Most of my ratings are from TV show episodes, which I am much more lenient with, like I would usually give an average episode an 8, so my rating distribution isn't very accurate, but for movies at least, I am very stingy with 10/10s.
Also, Watch FX's The Shield (2002-2008).
Ratings Guide:
9.5+/10 = Masterpiece
9+/10 = Amazing
8.7-8.9/10 = Amazing, but flawed
8+/10 = Great
7.7-7.9/10 = Great, but flawed
7+/10 = Good
6.9/10 = Good, but flawed
6-6.5/10 = Okay/Decent
5-5.5/10 = Mixed/Mediocre/Meh
4-4.5/10 = Bad
3/10 = Terrible/Awful
2/10 = Horrible,
1/10 = Worst thing I've ever seen, nothing is competent.
Note: I've had this account since I was a kid so there are some very dated ratings I'd probably change on rewatch. As of 2022 I'm changing my ratings to be harsher, especially with TV show episodes. I may go back to fix some ratings, but as a rule of thumb, if it is rated before that year it may be a bit dated. The less amount of episodes a season has, the more weight those ratings hold.
