I've completed season 1 and have been hugely impressed with this production. The storyline is fictional space exploration from a US viewpoint in competition with Russia, coupled with the impact on multiple characters relationships, impacted by the political and social climate of the times in which the story is set. The quality of production and acting throughout is very high, the individuals, couples and teams' stories are as entertaining as the dramatic action scenes. I've started and paused episodes multiple times due to interruptions and poor planning on my part, leading me to the conclusion that this truly deserves to be given your full attention, to treat it like a visit to the cinema/movies. It's that good.

For me the most engrossing, entertaining gangster drama ever made. I'm a fan of the genre, Godfather series, Goodfellas etc and the later mega-US-series, Sopranos etc. This is so gritty with dramatic and no holds-barred storylines, tough-guy acting from so many characters like you've never seen. Goes without saying the filming, staging, music etc all add to the drama but what is particularly refreshing is that those aspects don't take over or become too prominent. The theme music in particular is so atmospheric. The fact it is in Italian adds another layer of drama for me, the language and how it is expressed just makes the characters even tougher. Subtitles don't detract from this one iota. It's a tough gangster life in Napoli!
