Paraíso (2012)
a good reference
I really love it, I thought it was gonna feel like too little for the story. But I actually think that the timing was very good. Has an structure that is well defined, simple and sublime. I had felt the nobility of the work, of the characters and felt a side of Chicago that I didn't know.
I think it's a very good reference of how you can structure and tell a story such as this one.
Leal, solo hay una forma de vivir (2018)
I'm out of words. IT'S AMAZING
I had to admit that when I took the decision to watch it I wasn't expecting such a great movie! It leaves you with intrigue, you'll get nervous, anxious, you'll melt in tenderness. Absolutely recommended.
The soundtrack its just a piece of art and they have Paraguayan music is so great, the acting makes you live the movie, the art i don't have nothing to say everything is so realistic, the director really enjoys his work and takes the liberty he needs in the montage, the photography it's just enjoyable its really lovelyy!
Watch this movie! Do ti now!
IM CRAZY I LOVED IT SO MUCH
Durante la tormenta (2018)
I was impressed
When I read the synopsis I was intrigued, I did't liked that much The Butterfly Effect, but I found the combination very interesting so I watched the movie and it has a lot of twists that you wouldn't wait for. I liked the narrative, the way that the film is being tell it's envolving.
Liked the look, the color and texture transport you to a really rainy day, I needed a blanket and be cozy. I loved how they show you the worst images, things very morbid. And the story line its pretty cool, they count you two stories in like two hours.
At the end I found it a bit long, guess I was kinda tired, but it was very good.
About the sound design, I don't have much to say, but I liked how they bring the storm in the sound.
About the camera I found it interesting how it changes like an spectator and how sometime isn't part of the scene. It brings you the sensation of a voyeurism.
Mujeres al borde de un ataque de "nervios" (1988)
I really liked it.
Certainly I wasn't expecting what I saw. I was waiting for something boring, obviously I forgot it was an Almodóvar.
I liked a lot the looks, how is everything kinda plastic an well decorated. The apartment of Pepa its such an interesting place, there are so many colors and how the red is managed its spectacular, you could tell how the characters connected with the red. I loved to see such an staging, loved all the things and how the ambiances were created.
The sound was great, you have an delicate selection for you to hear. Although Pepa lives at an apartment very close to an avenue, we hear the traffic noises in specific situations, the phone, the crashing. I really liked the sound design.
The story its incredible, I laughed a lot. Didn't expect that kind of humor in such situation. It's enjoyable, the kind of movie that you see and will never regret.
Newness (2017)
It's a bit more than ok.
I just saw it. In fact, I like it a lot, the camera has this frames very close to the character, somethig that we aren't used to in real life, so that makes me think of a solitary and individual person and society. I like this camera language 'cause it goes hand in hand with the movie plot. The looks and the camera movements make me feel like its something natural, like real life.
The sound design has a few parts with an exclusion that I found magical, it goes with the tone of the movie, although I would have love to have a little bit more from the ambient. They used the silence so good I really enjoyed to have those quiet moments, where I felt everything that was happening in scene.
Montage, what could I say, I went nuts with the first sequence. (Maybe nuts its a bit extreme, but you have me). Its something to appreciate in the whole film.
Direction, I could almost listen to the director voice in some parts, I´m not sure if that´s something bad, but I liked it, it helped to feel the moments.
I´ve found the acting good enough to reflect real life in some parts, in another I found them a bit forced and overacted, but I think that´s part of the essence of the script, and they were necesary to the story keep going.
The script was really good, firstable it´s about something real, something that many of us have been trough, or thinking of it like and option (at least we have doubts about it) and in this time is the "new black", so its pretty modern.
Secondable, from my view I think the characters are the most natural and related to real life, how an actual person would react in front of some situations. Cause lets be honest here, we all are possessive when it comes to a partner that we care of.
I really liked it! Hope you enjoy it!
I might be the worst to trust. (Let mi know if not)
Sorry fot the bad english :/
Brick (2005)
Almost died.
Well I've gotta say this movie made my heart race. I didn't expect to really feel the movie and the characters, the drama involved. It has a really good story, it shows a bit of the drugs world, the complications of love, all of this in a School. Pretty cool huh?
The photography is awesome I love the takes they are pretty good, the aesthetic is precise for the movie, the sound design is delicated, respects the silence and I really love it.
The Montage in this film is a master, creates the perfect narrative for the argument. Wich is by the art direction and costume.
All of the elements are related to create a good film.
I really liked it.
10 Things I Hate About You (1999)
I'm not gonna lie.
Well I saw this movie, and I really didn't expect that kind of movie. I really liked it, although I'm a bit ashamed of that, I can relate that it is a good movie if you wanna have a good time. I tried to focus on things like sound design, the photography style, montage, art; but the movie it's so funny that I caught losing myself in the drama. The acting is good, the story is a classic, the soundtrack is really cool; a very good job. Hope you enjoy it! I recommend it.
Ps: I'm rating a 5 'cause I'm trying to be picky about movies.
