During the armed conflict in Guatemala, Alma and her two sons are killed under the words "if you cry, I'll kill you." After thirty years, the court opens a criminal case against Enrique Monteverde, who was at the forefront of the genocide, but ends up being acquitted when the trial is declared null. The population rises up in anger against the sentence, and in turn Alma's spirit awakens looking for the justice that the court has denied her. At night, Enrique begins to hear crying, but little does he suspect his new housekeeper.
