About us
The Carnegie Mellon University Alumni Association (CMUAA) provides the Carnegie Mellon alumni community with a variety of ways to connect and reconnect to each other, current students and the university. Our goal is to offer multiple two-way channels of communication and a wide array of meaningful volunteer roles for alumni. The CMUAA works closely with the Alumni Association Board of Directors to develop programming that will accomplish these goals. Through involvement with regional chapter organizations, class and reunion committees, alumni interest groups and college and school alumni activities, there are myriad ways for alumni to re-experience Carnegie Mellon University.

“With our monitors and insight tools, communities can more accurately identify sources of pollutants. They can then develop data-driven solutions to protect the breathing environment for our most vulnerable groups.” Darren Riley's asthma diagnosis showed him how much the environment and the air we breathe impacts our quality of life. So he launched JustAir, a neighborhood-level air quality monitoring network platform that helps map pollutants, identify air quality disparities from one ZIP code to the next to identify the local activities and trends that drive an area’s air quality: https://bit.ly/49FpjOE
