L’innovazione occupa un ruolo centrale nella nostra #strategia e ciò non sarebbe possibile senza i nostri Innovation Champions presenti in tutti i Paesi a livello globale. I was thrilled to represent TRANSFORM (Unilever, FCDO & EY) as their keynote speaker at Ninety Innovation’s Social Innovation Shift event last Thursday. 🔊 In a nut, TRANSFORM unites corporates, donors, investors, and academics to support over 70 impact enterprises across Africa, Asia and beyond. We have seen firsthand the power of collaboration in accelerating innovation, and it was fantastic to share some of our experiences and learnings with the attendees. 💞 Cross-sector initiatives, like TRANSFORM, allow all parties involved to leverage their respective strengths to amplify the work of INCREDIBLE enterprises and tackle the world's most pressing challenges; from the climate crisis and healthcare to building inclusive economies. 🌎 💹 👩⚕️ 🌄 💛 For example, TRANSFORM and Bhumijo, an enterprise dedicated to providing hygienic public toilets and wash facilities for all, collaborated to test new revenue schemes and expand the number of public toilets available in Dhaka, Bangladesh. 🚽 TRANSFORM’s work with TrashCon, a women-led business that develops innovative solutions to better manage waste in India, has allowed the enterprise to scale its work from processing 2 Tonnes of plastics per day to 200 Tonnes of plastics per day, across 20 cities. 🗑 During the following roundtable discussion, we delved into Ninety and Z Zurich Foundation’s new flagship report, the Social Innovation Paper which details how collaboration between insurers and the philanthropic sector is key for social innovation. 🔎 🔎 See: https://lnkd.in/epjH5RBA Social innovators hold the key to solving environmental and societal issues, getting us closer to achieving all 17 of the UN’s SDGs. But they need a combination of financial support, consultancy, networking opportunities and training to realise their full potential.
