I was honored to join the recent TIC Council Global Board Meeting in China. We had the chance to meet with government officials and industry partners in Shanghai and Beijing, including the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) and the Shanghai and Pudong District People’s Governments. The conversations were extremely insightful, highlighting the pivotal role played by the TIC sector in protecting Chinese consumers, supporting the country’s high quality development agenda and enabling global trade. We also discussed how the TIC industry is leading the way when it comes to supporting the development of sustainable solutions (including the EU’s Green Claims Scheme and Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) and building digital trust amidst the rise of AI and cybersecurity concerns. I feel proud to work in an industry that has such an impact on people’s lives, and I am grateful to my colleagues and the TIC Council for their collaborative spirit. Building a safer and more sustainable world is a team sport! #NSF
