The ‘selfie’ has always been in Snapchat’s DNA - and if you didn’t know already, yesterday was #InternationalPortraitDay To celebrate, Snapchat has joined forces with London’s National Portrait Gallery for a special AR-powered collaboration called ‘Post Your Portrait’. Working with the NPG, our brilliant AR Studio team curated an AR Lens which lets Snapchatters transform their selfies into iconic art styles, such as Cubism and Impressionism. Snapchatters can upload their selfies for display on the NPG’s main lobby wall as part of a special Snapchat feature which runs throughout this week until Sunday. NPG visitors can also try out the lens in our Snapchat AR photo booth just inside the entrance - and print them to keep! Through this partnership, which blends artistry with next generation technology, we hope to transform the way young people engage with arts and culture in 2024. So take a selfie and head to the NPG to see your own portrait! #InternationalPortraitDay

⚽ Together We Play … and Party! 🪩 Yesterday, we brought our interactive sports event series "Together We Play" to Berlin and kicked off the summer of sports with over 800 partners, policymakers, creators, and friends. Here's what you missed: 🎤 Our EMEA President Ronan Harris engaged with local policymakers about fostering fair play in the digital space, ensuring integrity on our platform amidst current socio-political challenges. 🎓️ In a Snap School, Ardawan Okhovat Alavian and Emily McDonnell taught the Berlin creator community how to succeed on Snapchat as a Snap Star and generate revenue with authentic content. 📱 With Kilian Gaffrey, Tobias Budde, and Nicole Steiner, we dove deep into how media use is transforming modern fan culture 👻 Hannah Johnson amazed us with how AR is creating new, immersive opportunities for participation, bringing fans closer to the action than ever before. 📲 Oliver Naumann from Deutsche Telekom and Kahlen Macaulay shared how they’re enhancing the fan experience by bringing it directly to smartphones with AR. ⚽ A heartfelt moment for me was hearing from Thomas Hitzlsperger on the essence of authenticity in sports and the power of staying true to oneself - truly inspiring! The event wrapped up with an unforgettable grand finale - laughter, games, and dancing that lasted well into the night. Today is Social Mobility Day, a topic that’s very close to my heart as a person who grew up on a council estate in Manchester with very little knowledge of what an executive career could look like, or that this could be an option for me. Social mobility is something all businesses should be taking an active role in. At Snap, we believe that having a team of diverse backgrounds and voices working together enables us to create innovative products that keep our 21m diverse users engaged and happy - a critical factor for growth. To support this year’s Social Mobility Campaign #ShareMoments, I wanted to share some of the incredible work our Snap Philanthropy team are doing in the UK: 👩💻 We help empower students from under-resourced communities by supporting equitable access to education and exposure to career opportunities in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) 🚀 We partner with organisations like Zero Gravity and Making The Leap to help us reach emerging top talent - and are thrilled to be welcoming 15 new students to our Snap Lens Lab work experience programme with the Royal College of Art this summer! 💻 We launched the UK’s first AR Lens Challenge Hackathon hosting 50 students from four schools across London to educate them on the power of AR and teach them how to build a lens in one day! 👂We partnered with Empathy Week and Suit Up to host 60 students from under-represented backgrounds across five UK schools to learn about the power of using Empathy in the workplace 💬 We provide access to mentors for untapped talent and under-resourced communities through our partnership with The Social Mobility Foundation 👨🏾🍳 And we support our Snap team members to help make a positive impact in their local communities - our UK team dedicated over 683 hours with 240 team members volunteering at different experiences last year A very special thanks to the incredible Cordelia B. for creating and leading our Philanthropy programme in the UK - and to all those at Snap 👻 who bring this to life every day. #ShareMoments #SocialMobility #SocialMobilityDay #Diversity

Last week was phenomenal! In just 2 business days, we engaged in 3 major events and connected with thousands through carefully curated touch points. At the CMAcx Summit, I had the privilege of sharing insights on world-class customer experiences drawn from decades of global expertise. It was my first time speaking at a Canadian Marketing Association event, and the audience and setup were exceptional. A huge thank you to our hosts and panelists Vivianne Gauci, Alison Cox, Marina Ramic Baric and Daniel Francavilla. We hosted a private breakfast for about 30 marketing and agency leaders. Colleen DeCourcy, our Chief Creative Officer, and I delved into our new brand campaign: Less Social Media. More Snapchat. Snapchat is designed to be the antidote to traditional social media. When you explore why people use Snapchat and the intentionality behind our consumer products, this distinction becomes clear. During our Holiday Festival (yes, many of our advertising partners are already planning for the holidays), Colleen, Ty Ahmad-Taylor, Alanna (Glicksman) Handelman, Adam Gizzie, Kelli Prince, Genevieve Gennings, the broader team, and I discussed how brands can leverage our revamped ad platform and products to better surprise and delight, retain and convert potential customers on Snapchat. We also launched our new consumer "5 year old AI lens" and attended the SickKids Foundation | The Hospital for Sick Children "Scrubs In the City" Gala of course (thanks for taking me Lisa Kisber!). What a week! It's clear the #MoreSnapchat campaign continues to strike a chord.
