An enthusiastic, resourceful, skilled and proactive individual with extensive experience in the renewable energy, environmental management and sustainability industries, with specialisations in project planning, development and implementation, research, analysis and modelling of data, design, energy efficiency, monitoring, coordination, evaluation, report writing, stakeholder and contract management, and delivery of capital works. Proven track record of delivering innovative solutions for critical problems. As a Project Engineer, and then promoted to Senior Project Engineer at SRI, I have successfully conducted over 25 renewable energy, climate change, sustainability, energy efficiency and energy security projects. As a Research Assistant at USN, I have contributed to developing more efficient waste and water treatment systems, as well as biogas production. As a Planning and Design Engineer at CMC, I have led overall project planning activities to deliver 170 MLD water along with designing 33 hydraulic gates to regulate water flow.

  • Influence of Nitrate in Methane Production by Anaerobic Digestion of Food Waste

    Anaerobic digestion has been recognized as one of the best options for treating food waste due to its high moisture and organic content and high energy recovery, resulting in renewable source of energy; biogas. The objective of this project was to determine the methane potential through anaerobic digestion of food waste using both AMPTS II bioprocess Control and airtight syringe as the biogas reactors and also compare the two methods. The objective of this project was to determine the methane potential through anaerobic digestion of food waste using both AMPTS II bioprocess Control and airtight syringe as the biogas reactors and also compare the two methods. To produce the biogas hydrolyzed food waste was used as substrate and digested food waste as inoculum.

    The objective of this research was to investigate the related aspects of biogas production from anaerobic digestion process using airtight syringes as biogas reactors. The mixture of carbohydrate and protein (Sample-A) and carbohydrate and lipid (Sample-B) with varied concentrations were used as substrates.
