ACHE Housing Coordinator

Job Summary

The ACHE Housing Coordinator position focuses on enhancing the quality of life on the ACHE campus, including fostering a healthy living environment and being attentive to safety and security. The ACHE Housing Coordinator must be flexible enough to assume a variety of roles as determined by the changing needs of the campus and area. It is imperative the ACHE Housing Coordinator be able to relate well to others and handle administrative responsibilities. This position works closely with a variety of individuals, including students, faculty, and staff of ACHE, but also the greater ACHE community.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

  • Maintain a positive, productive relationship with all students/tenants.
  • Manage the ACHE Campus Housing email inbox and main phone, ensuring new incoming students and current students receive necessary information in a timely manner.
  • Manage housing renewals, new housing contracts, and housing placements for new incoming students each academic year.
  • Assist in the process of opening and closing of the facilities each day.
  • Assist with the coordination of all third-party vendors and/or contractors.
  • Assist with cleanliness checks within all on-campus housing units and complete necessary follow-up when the situation arises.
  • Assist with ensuring that student housing occupancy rate stays at 100% capacity throughout the entirety of the year.
  • Assist with addressing tenant complaints, violations, and problems for students.
  • Assist with the organization of all moveouts each summer to ensure a smooth transition between outgoing students and new incoming students.
  • Process daily receipts to accounts payable and help ensure the department stays within budget.
  • Submit Purchase Requestions (PR) in the institutional software system for all housing department orders.
  • Utilize multiple software systems, including but not limited to: Student Information System (SIS) and the housing software (StarRez) to effectively send important communications and organize work orders/tasks for maintenance.
  • Assist with event planning for campus housing or ACHE community when needed.
  • Assist the Housing and Asset Manager with property management duties.
  • Support and enforce the policies and procedures as outlined in the Student Handbook.
  • Ensure the utmost respect and privacy of all information that you may have access to and ensure that all information remains private.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by a supervisor.


Qualifications And Credentials

Education and Experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in campus housing or property management or equivalent experience
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Must have strong computer skill and ability to learn new software applications.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-3 years’ experience in asset/property management or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in higher education

  • Demonstrate proficiency in office management and computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Office.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy.
  • Display professionalism for the college in all communication and interaction.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize numerous and varied assignments.
  • High-energy, versatile, and self-directed.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of ethical behavior and adheres to the standards and policies of the Arkansas Colleges of Health Education.

  • May be exposed to short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties.
  • May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies to include, but not limited to pens, pencils, calculators, computer keyboards, telephone, etc.
  • May be required to transport oneself to other campus offices, conference rooms, and on occasion, to off-campus sites to attend meetings, conferences, workshops, seminars, etc.
  • May require travel or work away from campus.
  • Frequently required to work at a desk, conference table or in meetings of various configurations.
  • Occasionally required to lift heavy items.
  • Frequently required to hear and understand speech at normal levels.
  • Frequently required to operate office equipment.
