We’re seeking an enthusiastic Actuarial Analyst who enjoys diving deep in data and producing quality reserve analyses.


You’ll be working on our actuarial reserving team to help set reserves on a monthly basis. In order to properly opine on the reserves as the book develops, you will collaborate closely with Insurance Product managers, Claims, Finance, Pricing & Reserving Actuaries, and Data Scientists.


In this role you’ll

  • Develop detailed reserve estimates for Personal Auto lines of business
  • Present monthly results to leaders across the company
  • Investigate and opine on any internal or external trends that impact reserves
  • Properly document selections and assumptions in your analyses
  • Leverage your analytical/modeling skills to automate and streamline processes
  • Further your own actuarial education through CAS exams and industry research while applying those learnings on the job


What you’ll need

  • 1+ years of P&C actuarial experience
  • 2+ CAS/SOA actuarial exams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • General knowledge of data science programming languages such as R (preferred) or Python, and proficiency in database query tools such as SQL
  • Ability to work in an office environment 3 days per week

Lemonade's US base salary range for this full-time position is $75,000 - $90,000 equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Speak to your recruiter to hear more about the specific salary range for your preferred location.
