My client is a leading provider of renewable energy solutions, dedicated to driving sustainable energy practices and innovative technologies. Their mission is to provide clean, affordable, and reliable energy to communities worldwide. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales (Utility Sclae, Wind, BESS, EV Charging, PV Solar) to lead our sales team and drive our growth in the renewable energy market.



Job Summary: The Director of Sales (Renewable Energy) will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, leading the sales team, and driving business growth in the renewable energy sector. This role requires a deep understanding of renewable energy markets, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company objectives and expand market share in the renewable energy sector.
  • Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities, trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Sales Operations: Oversee the sales operations, including pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting to ensure accurate and timely information for decision-making.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, product development, and engineering teams to align sales strategies with company goals and product offerings.
  • Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations and close deals with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the sales team's skills and knowledge of renewable energy products and services.
  • Budget Management: Manage the sales budget, allocating resources effectively to achieve sales objectives and maximize ROI.
  • Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
    • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the renewable energy sector. (Utility Scale, Wind, BESS, EV Charging, PV solar)


    • Skills:
    • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
    • Strong understanding of renewable energy markets, technologies, and industry trends.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to develop and implement strategic sales plans.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
