Job Description:

We are seeking a Research Associate, Advisory to join our Advisory team and support our mission to inform, advise, and connect the next generation of housing industry experts, leveraging the information, insights, and people that move the industry forward. The ideal candidate is an intuitive problem solver with a strong interest in consulting, real estate, land use, and research. Candidates with an interest in learning quantitative analytical methods and software programs (Excel VBA, GIS, or R) are a plus. Success in this role will have opportunities for advancement in the firm and larger roles on consulting assignments. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct primary and secondary research on residential real estate industry and demographic trends, market conditions, interviews, and site visits;
  • Aggregate, analyze, and develop recommendations based on market data;
  • Create supporting exhibit packages for consulting assignments;
  • Support the project team in preparing reports and presentations to synthesize conclusions and recommendations;
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations;
  • Provide support for internal initiatives and ad-hoc projects as needed.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, business, economics, urban studies, political science or related fields demonstrating qualitative and quantitative reasoning;
  • Some work or internship experience in consulting, market research or real estate is preferred;
  • Strong academic record;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word;
  • Organized, reliable, trustworthy, team-player;
  • Works well in high-pressure situations;
  • Occasional travel for field work.
