About The Role

The Magna Total Rewards Team is looking for a motivated detail-oriented individual to support the administration of the company’s North American Retirement Programs. The Retirement Plan Administrator position offers candidates an exciting opportunity for professional development within a global organization. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance of Human Resources Departments with company policies and procedures around benefits through answering inquiries, participating in audits, assisting with communication, and training programs.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support to North American Retirement Program Analysts, Senior Manager and Director on projects and presentations.
  • Provide daily assistance to the North American Division Human Resources Staff via telephone/e-mail with respect to general retirement plan related questions.
  • Coordinate with Retirement Plan Provider(s) on quarterly address/death/next of kin searches
  • Act as Liaison between divisions and providers on employee and HR education
  • Assist with compilation of Canadian savings plan submissions.
  • Aid in investigations to resolve complex issues (e.g., account issues, deferral issues, etc.)
  • Assist the North American Retirement Program Team in system cleanup and review of data entry by locations.
  • In conjunction with HRIS, assist in preparation and participation in various plan related data audits.
  • Responsible for Retirement & Savings Committee Meeting Minutes
  • Submit invoices for payment as needed.
  • Sort and process return mail as needed.
  • Handle all other job duties and activities, as determined, and assigned.



Who We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or other related field
  • 1 - 3+ years of experience and/or training in one or more of the following areas: Financial/data analysis or statistics, U.S. benefits law/regulations, customer service, Human Resources, strategic planning and/or project management, problem solving and decision science techniques, managing vendor relationships, using analytical tools



Your Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with retirement or health care benefit administration a plus
  • CEBS designation or pursuing CEBS designation a plus.
