Underwriter (All levels) - Dependent on Experience
Job Summary
The Associate Underwriter will support the underwriting process by handling new business submissions, renewals, and mid-term endorsement requests while adhering to applicable statutory compliance, prescribed authority levels and Company guidelines.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or GED
One (1) year underwriting experience or equivalent Property & Casualty (P&C) experience
OR an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience
Current 4-40 Customer Service Representative License in good standing
Responsibilities
Review insurance applications and supporting documentation.
Handle policy change requests and executes follow-up action as needed.
Communicate with agents, clients, and internal teams to gather necessary information.
Maintain accurate and updated underwriting files and databases.
Stay current on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance.
Additional Requirements
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
Proactive attitude and willingness to learn from senior underwriters.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
