Hey Connections!! While browsing through Myntra today, I came across a feature that immediately took me back to an exciting project I worked on about a 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 ago. The feature allows users to interact with a chatbot to get personalized fashion recommendations—whether it's for a special occasion or simply to stay on top of the latest trends. This reminded me of a hackathon, where my team and I developed a similar solution. Our project, a Fashion Bot, offered 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞-𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐫𝐲-𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬. We aimed to enhance the shopping experience by enabling direct purchasing and tailored recommendations based on user preferences, age, location, and more. One of the most unique features we implemented allowed users to virtually try clothing of celebrities on themselves using image generation, helping them make better decisions. Our team—comprising Chiranjeev Singh, Abhishek Mahajan and myself—worked tirelessly to bring this vision to life. It was an exhilarating experience, blending AI with fashion, and it’s amazing to see how similar ideas are now becoming mainstream. The journey from concept to execution was filled with challenges, but the learning and satisfaction of seeing the same thing come to life made it all worth it. Looking at this feature on Myntra today brought back all those memories and reaffirmed the importance of innovation in enhancing user experiences.

🎮 Exciting News from Blinkit! 🚀 Get ready gamers, because Blinkit, the quick-commerce platform owned by Zomato, has announced that it will be selling the highly anticipated PlayStation 5 on its platform! The Japanese electronics giant Sony is gearing up to launch the PlayStation 5 Slim in India on April 5, following its successful release in the US back in November 2023. Albinder Dhindsa, founder and chief executive of Blinkit, shared the news on the microblogging platform X, stating, "PlayStation 5 on Blinkit. Launching tomorrow." This move marks Blinkit's continuous expansion into new product categories by collaborating with brands, shifting away from traditional ecommerce platforms. Zomato's efforts to bolster its quick-commerce operations include direct conversations with brand owners to enhance its inventory and establish its supply chain. Previously, Blinkit made waves by partnering with Apple reseller Unicorn to deliver India-made iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus in major cities like Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru. Moreover, Blinkit and Mumbai-based quick-commerce platform have ventured into fashion, teaming up with top apparel brands like Adidas, Pepe Jeans, Jockey, and more. Blinkit has signed a pact with Lenskart.com for delivery in under 10 minutes, this has left me thinking will there be more pacts on cards? 🤓 Here are three things to note on how Blinkit is playing " The quick commerce game" 😍 : 1. Inking Pacts with well-known brands🖊️: Sony previously and now Lenskart which is a well-known and established brand in India. These collaborations not only give some sort of first-mover advantage to the giant but also low-key soft power in the quick commerce space. 2. Contribution Margin 💸: For Blinkit contribution counts as revenue minus costs like store operation expenses, delivery costs, and packaging costs, among other things. Blinkit's contribution margin has improved to 2.4% in Q3 FY24 from 1.3% in Q2 FY24 - which is on the path to turning the giant into a profitable one. 3. Blinkit Storytelling 📖: "Apka last minute App" - this is how the storytelling is told now to the consumers emphasising its delivery under 10 minutes along frills of emotions - and so far it is kind of working.

Blinkit's Dhaniya Masterstroke 🌿🍃 It began with a post by X user Ankit Sawant, who wrote, “Mom got a mini heart attack because she had to pay for #dhaniya on #Blinkit. Albinder Dhindsa - mom is suggesting that you should bundle it for free with a certain amount of veggies" We Indians love complimentary gifts ,For many Indians buying vegetables isn't complete without the pleasant and bargained surprise of coriander leaves🍃 , chilli🌶️ ,ginger🍠 and curry leaves 🌿 This tradition, however ,is missing when ordering vegetables online . Ankit highlighted this issue on X , his post gained attention , including from blinkit's CEO, who responded with "Will do".Later surprising many users 🙀 Shortly after, Albinder Dhindsa replied on X ,saying ,"It's Live ! Everyone please thank Ankit's mom. we will polish the feature in the next couple of weeks." Netizens are impressed by these Quick Commerce businesses' Speed of execution and customer-focused business models. Quick Commerce is becoming more and more popular in India, growing their market share in the country's retail sector. Consumer internet brands have solved for their DAU and MAU.👌😍 However, one thing that majority of them struggle with, are user engagements. This is generally middle of the Funnel. 😪😪 Engagement trickles down to bottom line, there's no question about it. More engagements, more revenue.✔️💲 Recently saw this Flipkart's new Print ad amidst the IPL frenzy—what a smart play! 💡 They’ve turned each game into a product showcase, saying, 'Seen during the match? Get it on Flipkart.' This is surely going to have people open the app so many times during the game and drive the engagements. Now that’s how you actually drive Marketing Campaign for Free to ride the wave. #SmartPlay #IPLShowcase #user #engagements

founder of snoodify | making shopping more fun, engaging and credible | helping homegrown and d2c brands grow effectively and efficiently
After a 100 votes, I strongly believe that still images are going to be replaced. This has been proven in USA by Flip and in China by Douyin. The question is between the next three. On analysing why people responded others, we found out many believe that AR,VR can bring the next storm which for sure is destined to happen but the current processing powers of mobile phone do not support render for even slightly complex products. Tried and tested by a few seniors and Samsung is already working on this tech with 600M budget for research. Thinking about videos, platforms like Myntra, Amazon and Flipkart are trying to integrate it. But the flavour is not yet hit. We at snoodify like 52% other believe shopping social networks are the next big thing! Think of shopping with your friends and family, sharing products, discovering with a social experience! We are looking for people who can be a part of our UX Research. Comment Down your mail if this interests you! #snoodify #social #shopping #experience
