This year marks 10 years of Fire TV—that’s a full decade of hard work to become the world’s most popular streaming media player family. You may remember when we launched Fire TV in 2014. Then, the term “smart TV” only meant you could connect to the internet - and none of them were really all that smart. That April, we introduced a brand-new way to search and control TV using just your voice. And today, we’re still bringing customers the best that technology has to offer: a new way to search using Alexa and combining AI with Fire TV's extensive entertainment content and app library. The experience is powered by an Amazon-built LLM, which enables Alexa to personalize TV show and movie recommendations, reducing time spent searching and scrolling. Huge congrats to everyone on the Fire TV team for their hard work in bringing this to life. I’m incredibly proud of what the team has been able to accomplish, and as I look forward to the next 10 years, I know we’re as committed as ever to continuing to enhance the Fire TV experience. Here’s to the next 10 years of innovation!

As a Red Sox fan, I think they’re going to need a bit of magic this year to bring home the pennant and trophy, so ahead of opening day this week I decided to see what I could cook up using AI Art on Fire TV — let’s just hope they get the big right handed bat they need ahead of the trade deadline! The Echo Hub is our brand new Alexa-enabled smart home control panel that gives you an organized view of your devices so you can easily manage them in one simple dashboard—like security cameras, alarm systems, lights, locks, and plugs. So proud of all of the hard work the Amazon Devices & Services team put in to bring this to life! 

There is no doubt: our generative-AI-powered Rufus assistant is the future of shopping! Like Doug, I’ve been using Rufus in beta — and love it — for everything from ordering new treats for our picky cat to finding the right handwarmers for some upcoming winter camping to researching and laying in a new pair of jogging shoes. So proud of what the team is building here!

Fire TV's new AI Art feature is now available in public preview in the U.S. -- so proud of the team! The only limit is your imagination as you experiment with new ways to create custom art for your living room with the simplicity of voice. One of my favorite prompts so far: “Alexa, create a background of a cyberpunk city in Yosemite.” Can’t wait for customers to experiment with this fun new feature!

It's been a huge week for Amazon Devices & Services! We gave an early look at our next big step for Alexa, which leverages our latest advancements in generative AI to create a more natural and conversational experience. And we announced a host of new devices, including new Echoes and Fire TVs. And we reinvented the Fire TV search experience, making it easier than ever to find content with Alexa—it’s almost like talking to a friend who also happens to be the world’s best video clerk.
