#IamRemarkable because I believe we are the best version of ourselves when we celebrate who we are. I was fortunate to share space with these wonderful colleagues in today's #IamRemarkable workshop, a Google movement that empowers people to celebrate their achievements in the workplace. It was a deeply-enriching experience where people came together from 4 different countries to lift each other up and celebrate what makes us remarkable. We felt full, energised, and inspired. Did you know people are 6x more likely to be engaged in their jobs when they focus on their strengths (Gallup) and yet 82% of people hide their success from loved ones, co-workers, often out of a desire to avoid 'bragging'. If we want resilient, engaged and sustainably-productive workforce, how are we rethinking the way we see ourselves?

The reality of IT Companies......... The company prefers employees who are willing to dedicate all their time to work. We love every member in our BrightMinded team, and we like spending as much time as possible together. For a few years now some of us have been working remotely. Although it’s lovely for the team to be able to work from anywhere and create a great work-life balance, we miss turning around at our desks and ask each other quick questions, talk about our weekend, go out for food together, etc. This week our lovely Anwen Williams came down to Brighton, from far away, to pay a visit. As any excuse is great to go out for some food and chatter together, we enjoyed a great meal at Modelo Lounge, a restaurant and bar in Hove with a lot of different meal options to suit everyone’s preferences.  We were so busy eating and chatting that we forgot to take a picture of our meal! It’s great to spend time off-work with your team, we consider team bonding very important at BrightMinded, because it:  -Builds trust between the team -Encourages collaboration in projects -Fosters engagement and happiness At BrightMinded we are a small family of software experts, we all share the same passion for coding, and enjoy our time spent together.
