M͟y͟ ͟b͟i͟g͟g͟e͟s͟t͟ ͟l͟e͟a͟r͟n͟i͟n͟g͟s͟ ͟a͟r͟e͟:͟ ͟H͟i͟r͟e͟ ͟f͟o͟r͟.͟.͟.͟ 1. ... 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗘 and Motivation within the person. 2. ... 𝗦𝗞𝗜𝗟𝗟 over previous experience. 3. ... 𝗖𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗙𝗶𝘁 within the team! 4. ... 𝗔𝗗𝗗𝗘𝗗 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 / 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 within the team (a diverse team (extrovert/introvert; Gendersplit; Detailed vs. Chaos) Of course following the gut feeling is bit factor as well but removing biases as much as possible will most likely make you choose the right person for your team! Instead focus on their skills and specific attributes as an individual** Selling a solution with insane product market fit successfully isn’t the same as selling a no name product in a noisey space 🔑 Ofcourse there are exceptions everywhere but in sales (unlike engg) specifically you want up bet on people that have made it work despite tough circumstances 💪 Resilience and grit FTW 🙌 TLDR: focus on the persons skills and attributes and don’t let the company they have been part of create a halo effect 😇 Easy framework on how to prioritize the diff profiles that I recently shared with a founder ✅

Discovery is a crucial stage of any sales process, and both teams (AE & SE) have their own versions of it, but why? 🤔 This misalignment can be one of the major causes when it comes to under-qualified leads, wasted time, and missed opportunities. So, what do SE’s typically include during their discovery? 🔎 - Challenges the customer is facing. - Possible causes (direct or indirect) for those challenges. - Existing solutions the customer uses. - The good and bad parts about those solutions. - Current client’s use cases in similar sectors. This type of discovery provides properly qualified leads, more relevant demos and ultimately, more closed opportunities.
