Shared these #Halloween throwback photos from my Microsoft Windows days in our Truveta all-hands meeting to inspire everyone for an upcoming costume contest. I may take costumes as seriously as Big Bird takes the ABCs.
Transparency earns trust.
During the formative months of Truveta, there were so many COVID studies published where you just couldn’t dig further into the underlying data and assumptions. This was so frustrating, and imho, inhibited society building trust in scientific truths.
Now, as we work with scientists to publish their Truveta studies in peer reviewed journals, I see an analogy between peer reviewed journals & closed source software from a trusted company, vs open-source software.
This experience inspires us to build Truveta Studio in a way that enables transparency into the underlying data and analytics within clinical studies. Click this link and use your LinkedIn credentials to log in for free and view this Truveta Research study on the uptake of Humira biosimilars in Truveta Studio. I’d love to hear any feedback on how we’re doing on our quest to enable transparency, which will hopefully accelerate earning trust in medical studies, and eliminate the absurd “17 years from bench to bedside.”

Truveta’s Board of Directors met this week at our Bellevue HQ for our annual board retreat. These meetings always remind me how novel Truveta is, building mission and economic alignment across healthcare and life science.
All in service of our shared mission, Saving Lives with Data.
Our partners at Reprieve Cardiovascular are doing incredible work using Truveta Data. Really enjoyed reading this case study based on their presentation at this year’s Truveta Symposium.
I find it simply absurd that prior to Truveta, the best source of real-world data on heart failure was the 20-year-old Acute Decompensated Heart Failure National Registry (ADHERE). https://tr.vet/3Bs9MXb
It’s humbling to have Truveta show up on this list for the 2nd year in a row, especially among so many great companies. I expected the AI companies to make a list like this, but all of the healthcare innovation is interesting.
Congrats to the Truveta team and our member health systems for their passion every day in pursuit of our mission of Saving Lives with Data.
Truveta has been named to LinkedIn's Top Startups list for the second year in a row! 🎉🏆
It's an honor to make this list with so many other disruptive, world-changing companies. Congratulations to all the Top Startups!

Since the earliest days of Truveta, I’ve been inspired by enabling real-time telemetry for public health and healthcare. Truveta Research’s monitoring reports during respiratory virus season are a step in that direction.

The FDA formally recognizing real-world evidence for safety and efficacy is going to be transformational for life science and healthcare. I feel honored to support our customers’ FDA submissions. https://tr.vet/47DWAKL
The FDA has increasingly relied on real-world evidence to support regulatory decisions and advance public health, and recently published final guidance on its use in regulatory submissions and audits.
Truveta Data, the most complete, timely, and clean regulatory-grade EHR data for more than 100 million patients across the US, generates real-world evidence that can help accelerate therapy approval and adoption.

Today marks 4 years since Jay Nanduri, Lisa Gurry, Ryan Ahern and I formally co-founded Truveta with Providence, Advocate Health, Tenet Healthcare, and Trinity Health. I can honestly say that I’m more optimistic and excited about the next 4 years than I naively was back in 2020 when Rod Hochman, M.D. first discussed the Truveta idea with me, and we set out to build a great company together.
I’ve learned so much since those early days, and just keep learning even more every day. Healthcare, medicine, biology, epidemiology, FDA, CDC, CMS, AI, and more… amazing people, organizations, and concepts that make our mission of Saving Lives with Data possible.
Thank you Truveta team, and our 30 innovative health systems (https://tr.vet/3MTR7G5), for 4 great years – and let’s make the next 4 years even more amazing together!
I’ll be watching this with great interest. I respect the quality assurance which peer review provides, but the delays in releasing information delay insights getting to patient care faster. https://tr.vet/4ewKHsp
