Prof. Dr. Ge Liu is a researcher at the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences. He graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China in July 2000. He graduated from Peking University in July 2003 with a master's degree in meteorology. In 2005, he joined the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and received a doctorate in meteorology in 2008. In the same year, he joined the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences as a postdoctoral fellow to engage in scientific research. In August 2010, he officially joined the Institute of Climate Systems, Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences. His current main research directions are the climate impact effects of the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau and the characteristics and laws of the East Asian monsoon changes.
