When broke Futaro gets wind of a job opportunity as a tutor, he doesn't expect his first client to be the new transfer student, Itsuki.
The quintuplets' parents ask Futaro to get them through high school, but the five girls hate studying, and run from him every chance they get.
When Miku opens her heart to Futaro and they decide to have a study session with the girls, Nino interrupts, leading to a cooking battle with Miku.
With his first paycheck, Futaro takes his little sister to the arcade with Itsuki. Later they run into the other girls and go to see some fireworks.
When the fireworks start, Ichika wants to be alone, but Futaro goes after her. Just then, he finds an answer to his relationship with the five girls.
With midterms coming up, the parents tell Futaro he's fired if any of the girls fail. He tries to get them to study, but is a bit too hard on Itsuki
When Futaro comes over for an all-night study session, he tries to make up with Itsuki, but then Ichika comes to offer her advice.
Futaro's stomach starts hurting from eating too much of Miku's food, so he asks Yotsuba to make Itsuki and Nino study. Yotsuba lies to them both.
Putting off their camping trip, Ichika asks Miku to pose as her. But it gets complicated when a boy confesses his love to her, thinking she's Ichika.
On their camping trip, Futaro and the quintuplets decide to have a test of courage. Nino pairs up with Itsuki, but gets left behind by her sister.
Futaro and Ichika get stuck in a shack as they prepare to make a campfire. Listening to Futaro's campfire story, Ichika realizes something about MIku.
On the last day of their camping trip, Itsuki disappears when they all go skiing. They search for her, and an answer to their true feelings.
As he recovers in the hospital, Futaro receives a visit from some of the sisters. Later, he recalls a girl he met on a school trip to Kyoto.
With just one week left until the sisters' final exams, Futaro is determined to help them pass. But first Nino and Miku will have to get along.
Futaro tells Nino about his recent disastrous reunion with the girl he met in Kyoto five years before. Nino expresses her desire to see Kintaro again.
Miku tries persuading Nino to come back home. Futaro has Itsuki dress up in disguise to help Yotsuba avoid having to go to a training camp.
After a chance encounter with Futaro and Raiha, the quintuplets invite them to their new apartment and show Futaro some suspiciously kind hospitality.
Miku plies Futaro with homemade chocolate in an attempt to better understand his tastes. Itsuki encounters one of her mother's former students.
Nino talks to her father before Futaro takes her on a motorcycle ride to the pastry shop. Along the way, Nino makes a surprising confession.
Faced with four sisters all dressed as Itsuki, Futaro must find a way to determine who's who. Nino asks Ichika for some relationship advice.
Nino and Miku interview for a job at Revival. Having advanced to their third year of high school, the five sisters end up in the same class as Futaro.
Futaro makes a bold proclamation to his classmate and would-be rival Takeda. Later, Ichika makes it clear to Nino that she won't give up on Futaro.
Arriving in Kyoto for the school trip, the sisters follow Futaro to a shrine. They split into groups to find him, but Ichika sneaks off on her own.
Miku gets an unusual pep talk from Nino. Dressed as Miku, Ichika gets Futaro to speak with her alone but he quickly sees through her disguise.
