If you watch WFTV-Channel 9 over the air, you may have had trouble getting the ABC affiliate.
WFTV is working on its main transmitter in Fort Christmas and has shifted to its back-up site at St. Cloud.
WFTV is on the air at fully licensed power, but urges viewers to adjust their antennas if they’re having problems receiving the station.
For example, anyone in the Titusville to Melbourne areas should turn their antenna more toward the west.
Viewers in Kissimmee and St. Cloud need to turn their antenna to point more east.
In a message to viewers, WFTV explains: “There is no need to rescan your TV. However, you will need to move your antenna to receive WFTV. The St. Cloud site is about twenty-one (21) miles south of the Fort Christmas site.”
WFTV says it expects to be back at the Fort Christmas site on Jan. 16.
