Sophie Murphy on Instagram: "One of my most asked questions is still on how to make these diy pelmets - honestly, it really does save you hundreds and you can build one in an hour or two (well, diy colin can!)

Here’s the process:

🪄 measure your curtain track and then add a couple of inches either side. This will be your length

🪄 using ply make your “pelmet” - this is usually a simple box frame minus the bottom where your curtains will hang

🪄 get some contact adhesive and batting. Spray the frame using the adhesive and stick the batting to the pelmet

🪄 next lay out your material. You can use anything and I did an Ikea Hack last time using an Ikea curtain for a luxury finish

🪄 using a staple gun wrap the material around the pelmet pulling really tight and then staple into pla Box Pelmet, Ikea Curtain, Ikea Curtains, Most Asked Questions, Curtain Track, Ikea Hack, Box Frames, The Frame, Hallway
