| Svenska I have had a lifelong passion for psychotherapy. I have taken steps in my education and professional career to ensure that I am as prepared as possible to engage in the work with integrity and purpose. To this end, I have a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology, I am certified as an Emotionally Focused Therapist and Supervisor with a specialization in couples and families, and I am a Jungian Psychoanalyst. I also worked as a crisis intervention specialist in a hospital emergency room.
I have had significant experience working in the field of interpersonal neurobiology. What this refers to is the appreciation for the importance of how our nervous system develops throughout our life and learns how to send us signals that either deem certain situations as safe or unsafe.
Therapy is like turning up the volume on parts of us that we have a hard time putting into works. Just like the Inuit having 1000 words for snow, we need to have 1000 words for how we feel. Dreams can also be an incredible resource in examining our inner lives.
