AT&T EXPANDS MOBILE INTERNET COVERAGE IN HOWARDS GROVE

New Cell Site Activated as Part of Ongoing AT&T Investment in Local Wireless Network MILWAUKEE, Nov., 20, 2012 As part of its continuing network investment to support growing demand for advanced mobile devices and applications, AT&T* today announced the activation of a new mobile Internet cell site in Howards Grove that will enhance coverage for area residents and businesses. With mobile Internet speeds, AT&T customers can surf the Web, download files faster, and enjoy the very latest interactive mobile applications. The new cell site is one part of AT&Ts ongoing efforts to drive investment and innovation to deliver the nations best, most advanced mobile Internet experience for customers. With the nations fastest mobile Internet network, AT&T provides accelerated mobile data speeds and simultaneous voice and data capabilities. In the first half of 2012, AT&T invested nearly $100 million in its Wisconsin wireless and wired networks. Demand for wireless coverage is growing at an unprecedented rate as our customers are transitioning to new technologies for their communication needs, said Scott VanderSanden, AT&T Wisconsin president. These network improvements in Howards Grove are an example of our continued investment in Wisconsins economy. Investments in mobile Internet technologies drive our economy across a number of different industries, from small businesses to advanced manufacturing to education and health care, said State Rep. In our information-driven economy, its critical for residents and businesses to have access to the latest communications technology, and this investment by AT&T will open up new opportunities for Sheboygan County businesses and families. AT&Ts mobile broadband network is based on the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) family of technologies that includes GSM and UMTS, the most widely used wireless network platforms in the world.
