Problems Faced by College Publications in Bicol University and Its Effects to the Students
Our topic is entitled Problems Faced by College Publications In Bicol University and Its Effects to the Students. This study aims to determine the problems of all the publication in Bicol University and its editorial board and staff. Along with this, we would like to know the effects and sentiments of the students regarding the release print issues, wall news, articles, and the like. Moreover, the study will contain analysis about its management and thus, be able to arrive at the solutions or recommendations as contribution to the course of Journalism. This study is connected to our field because it reflects the effectiveness of the print media industry. Therefore, this study will help the students to have a link or to be active in reading their respective campus papers. This will also show the level of interest of the students in reading printed and other related materials. Since each College Publication is the primary source of information within the school, this serves as the avenue of the students to read and be aware to the print media outside the college. In our study, upon identifying the problems faced by the college publication of BU, this is a chance to renew and set standard for each publication higher than the

usual. Work will become easier and faster. The proper distribution of print issues will be organized as well. Topics which interest the students will be identify in the print issue that they will be having. Also, the students will then really feel the satisfaction of work done by the College Publications. Information dissemination within their college will be more effective. Progress of every College Publication in Bicol University is also a progress of every community, because it does not only cover internal news rather it includes external affairs coming from the community. More so, the study will be a great help in the media world, because organization and development of every media-related field all starts from the school publication. Aspiring journalists of every college will be already aware of the possible dilemmas that they will face in the real media world. Thereby, the practice in the field of media will further develop and progress. .
