Assisted Wilbur Ross Investment Fund in structuring the first private equity fund approved by the Federal Reserve under the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) to invest in legacy assets. Received funding to analyze the status of womens rights in Afghanistan on the eve of the 2005 parliamentary election. Produced independent research paper: Achieving Compliance with Multilateral Treaties in Afghanistan POPULATION SERVICES INTERNATIONAL (PSI), KABUL, AFGHANISTAN Deputy Country RepresentativeTechnical Services March 2004- August 2004 Authored 2004 Marketing and Operations Strategy for the implementation of PSI/Afghanistans USAID/REACH-funded social marketing program. Managed PSI/Afghanistans Research and Communications Departments. Worked directly with government counterparts from the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Ministry of Womens Affairs and other international stakeholders to produce national policies for safe water and birth spacing. Designed curriculum for birth spacing, malaria and safe water training for community health workers. Built and managed team of 12 trainers for national programs for birth spacing, malaria prevention and safe water. Designed mosque-based mullah-training program to promote health messages to Afghan men, managed team of 4 mullah trainers. Designed nationwide behavior change communication campaign strategies for HIV/AIDS, malaria and family planning awareness including pharmacist training program, print/radio/TV ads, mobile video unit shows and night-spot programs. Worked with counterparts from the Ministry of Health and donor agencies, including the World Health Organization, to write an integrated, multi-sectoral project proposal on behalf of the Lao PDR requesting funding from the Global Fund for HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria prevention. Wrote budgeted funding proposals for the World Bank, DFID, AusAid and UNICEF.
