1. Tell us about yourself. Answer: - I am currently pursuing bachelors qualification in computer science and engineering. I come from a middle class background. I have had education in good schools including Gyan bharti public school and the BAL bhawan public school. My interest is in pursuing a career where I can use my technical knowledge to develop applications which are useful to the industry and the society. 2. What does u want to do in your life? Answer: - I want to be an outright professional with technical and managerial expertise required to manage and lead a company. 4. How would you describe your ideal job? Answer: - I am looking for a position which gives me an ample opportunity to learn and also to demonstrate my skills. My job should provide good career growth possibilities. 5. Why did u choose this career? Answer:- IT is an area in which all domain expertise can be engulfed . 7. What goals does u have in your career? Answer: - I want to be an outright professional with technical and managerial expertise required to lead and manage a company. I want to use my knowledge to develop applications which are useful to the industry and the society. In a time frame of 15 to 20 years from now, I would like to lead and manage a company of respectable size. 8. How do u plan to achieve these goals? Answer: - by demonstrating commitment and innovation in the work I do, and learning new things and techniques through formal and informal education. 9. How does u evaluate success? Answer: - RELATIVE PERFORMANCE! And comparing myself with the best in class (i.e my category). 10. Describe a situation in which you were successful. Answer: - The HPS annual day (explain) 11. What do u think it takes to be successful in this career? Answer: - hard work, commitment, and creativity, and building relationships with my colleagues , subordinates and seniors in the organization and by motivation . 12. What accomplishments have given you the most satisfaction in your life ? Answer: - my satisfaction comes from my good performance. Give same example as question 10. 13. If you live your life over again, what would you change? Answer: - I am happy as I am. I want to become somebody in life. 14. Would you like to work with information or with people? Answer: - Both. I would like to study and apply my skills. 15. Are u a team player? Answer: - yes I am a team player. I can work well in groups. I have a group of classmates with whom I am working with to do a project. 16. What motivates you? Answer: - my own good performance and moreover in my case, the fear of nonperformance. Constant encouragement from my higher-ups also motivates me. 17. Why should I choose you? Answer: - I have been a good performer in all my academic career and my extra-curricular activities. I have good communication skills and I am a good team player. I am confident of bringing in results in whatever assignment I take up . I am sure I will be useful to your

organization. 18. Are u a goal oriented person? Answer: - yes. I have certain long term goals and I set short term goals to achieve them. I set goals by myself in whatever I do and I am open to discussing goals for my activities with teachers or employees. 19. Tell me about your recent goals and what you did to achieve them . Answer :- my recent goal was to aggregate 75 % till the 6th semester for which 20. What are your short term goals ? Answer :- my immediate goal is to qualify my BTECH with a minimum of 65 % aggregate and to secure a good campus placement . possible question :- do u want to go abroad ? Answer :- I am looking for a good project that is beneficial for me . 21. What is your long range objective ? Answer :- 7th answer . I want to be an entrepreuner after 15 years because I want to learn the game first (i.e gain experience first). 22.What do you see yourself doing five years from now ? Answer :- I would like to handle projects independently , and get on to a good technomanagerial position. 23. What do you want to be 10 years from now ? Answer :- working in one of the middle to senior level managerial positions . 24. do you handle conflicts well ? and, 25. have you ever had a conflict with the boss or professor . how did you resort it ? Answer :- I did not have any serious issues or conflicts with any of my teachers or my fellow classmates so far . given my nature , I am sure I will be able to find an appropriate solution in the event of conflict . I am usually calm and composed and dont react very violently . 26. What major problem have you had to deal with recently ? Answer :- ( think of the appropriate answer later ) 27. Do you handle pressure well ? Answer :- yes I do become more concerned during pressure . I try to remain calm and proceed methodically . but sometimes , get disturbed . 28. What is your greatest strength ? Answer :- commitment to do things well . I give , or give my best shot ( effort ) in every job I do . 29. What is your greatest weakness ( inability ) ? Answer :- at times I am short tempered and react to situations too fast . 30. if I were to ask one your professors to describe you , what would he/she say ? Answer :- they will describe me as a good student and also as a good leader . 31. Why did you choose to attend your college ? Answer :- I wanted to join the anna university for high standards ; and my college for their seriousness in providing good education and support ( like placements labs, overall infrastructure and facilities ) 32. What changes have you undergone in your college . Answer :- since I am a student living outside home , I have learnt to be independent . The college has taught me to work under pressure . The students at the jnnce are highly competitive and I had to work for several hours extra to cope up with the competition. It also helped me in my overall personality development like English , ethics , etc:-

33. How has your education prepared you for your career ? Answer :- my education gave me the necessary inputs in technology and also general behaviour . given these inputs , I am confident of pursuing a good career . 34. What are your favourite classes and why ? Answer :- c ,ppl , one common quality of all these teachers ( not teaching from the book ) . stressing more on the important concepts . more experienced . can handle the students better . effective teaching .explain well , make the lecture interesting by citing examples , relates the class lecture to personal life of students , formal inside the classroom and informal outside the class room, jovial , he/she develops independent thinking in students and help in bringing out their independent talent . 35. Do you enjoy doing independent research ? Answer :- yes I tend to find a reason for whatever I am doing , and I am inquisitive . 36. Who are your favourite professors and why ? Answer :- same as 34th answer . 37. Why wasnt your GPA higher ? Answer :- with some more effort and concentration , I could have improved my GPA by improving my marks in electric subjects ( examples . ) 38. Do you have any plans for further education ? Answer :- YES . I would like to do a management course so probably I can do an online course , or even go on a study leave for pursuing a campus based program. ( part time or even full time courses ) ( if asked say that , a lot of universities are providing such online courses , like the Harvard univ , Michigan univ etc:- ). 39. How much training do you think you will need to become a productive employee ? Answer :- I can learn fast and devote a lot of time . the extent of training depends on the job I have to take up . 40. What qualities do you feel a successful manager should have ? Answer :- they should people friendly , oriented towards an objective and demonstrate good leadership qualities . 41. What do you know about our company ? Answer :- your areas should include the following aspects :sales turnover latest share price ( approx figure is enough ) no.of employees no. of offices no. of projects technologies reputation work culture time of establishment profit objective , and policy generally ,tell them that you have gone through their website. 43. Why are you interested in our company? Answer: - because of the points listed in the above answer. Moreover, I think I will have a good career here and I think I can work well here.

44. Do you have any location preference? Answer: - NO. I could be anywhere in India or abroad. 45. How familiar are you with the community we are located in? Answer: - I am a north Indian. I am leaving here for last three years. so I can easily adapt to any south Indian company . (For north Indian companies tell them that you know Hindi also ) 46. Are you willing to travel? Answer: - yes, I like traveling. 47. Are you willing to relocate? Answer: - yes, if my company wants me to! 48. Is money important to you? Answer: - no, more than money I would like to have a job where I can learn a lot and have more career prospects. My career and learning is more important than money! 49. How much money do you need to be happy? Answer: - how much ever I can earn with dignity. 50. What kind of salary are you looking for? Answer: - whatever is as per the industry norms and the market practice. It could be anywhere between 20 to 40 thousands. (Is asked say that, I dont mind working with a lesser salary, if my job provides a lot of learning and career prospect (or growth)).
