At USA Today, I wrote front-page articles for the print newspaper and also reported content for the organizations online platforms. After completing my internship in May 2012, I continued to contribute as a freelance correspondent.

At The Daily Caller, I worked closely with the staff on a variety projects prior to the organizations web launch in January 2009. I researched possible contributors, aggregated news articles and generated multimedia content.

Honors and Distinctions

Presented an undergraduate thesis on infographics titled, What is an Infographic?: A Synthesis Approach to Interpretation of New Media, at 2012 GMU Undergraduate Research Symposium. Received 2nd place award. Attended course titled, Presenting Data and Information, taught by Edward Tufte, Professor Emeritus at Yale University. The course reflected upon strategies and practice of information design While I was managing editor, Connect2Mason.com received the 2011 ACP Online Pacemaker award Graduate of Computer-Assisted-Investigative-Reporting (CAIR) Boot Camp hosted at the National Press Club Member of George Mason Universitys Golden Quill Society, a group of distinguished alumni leaders.
