Social Networker for Green Mountain College

September 1, 2011 to May 7, 2012

Responsible for reporting on campus activities and events through photography and written blog posts. I was accountable for articulating two weekly blog posts on the school social media blog relating to campus wide events. My job held me responsible for assisting Administration during Open House and Freshman Orientations. I was also responsible for promoting the college via the Green Mountain College Facebook, Twitter and The Princeton Review.

I attend Green Mountain College in Poultney Vermont, double majoring in Philosophy and communications. Green Mountain College has an environmental liberal focus that will broaden my understandings of our current ecological situation. I am determined to graduate in 2015.

Volunteer Experience
-Caretaker for my great grandmother. I was responsible for preparing meals, dispensing medications, household management and companionship. I held responsibility for 4 years. -Gained 30 hours of community service writing for the Soledad High School Newspaper, The Aztec Empire. -Earned community service hours volunteering for M.E.S.A during high school football games. The objective was to earn money for trips, such as competitions and the annual visit to UC Santa Cruz for preliminary mathematic and scientific activities.

Skills
My most prominent skills are in communications, where I am experienced in multiple fields of communications, such as public speaking, graphic communications, and journalistic writing. Computer literacy: proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe In-Design, and Adobe Illustrator. Being a caretaker for my great grandmother helped me acquire skills in cooking, cleaning and yard maintenance. Leadership Roles: Historian for the French Honors Society, Journalist for The Aztec Empire, and assisted with the 2011 Soledad California Mayor elections.
