    TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVING AS A HOST FOR

    LANGUAGE STUDIES INTERNATIONAL

    1. The placement of a student in your home is NOT a guarantee of income. The host
    will be compensated only for the actual number of nights the student spends in the
    home.

    2. Payment for the accommodation provided by the host is made by check drawn
    on a Language Studies International account. LSI will provide each host with a
    1099 at the end of each calendar year for tax purposes.

    3. Homestay hosts may not charge a student any amount in excess of the rate
    agreed upon with Language Studies International. No fees are to be paid directly
    to the host by a student; all fees are to be paid at the LSI center, where the student
    will be given a proper receipt.

    4. Homestay hosts are never to discuss their own personal financial matters with
    students. Hosts are not to discuss the fees that they receive for accommodation.
    Discussing such matters may result in the termination from the LSI homestay
    network.

    5. Telephone deposits may not be collected from the student. If outstanding


    telephone charges are of concern to the host, it is strongly recommended that a block
    be placed on the telephone. Students are encouraged to use prepaid telephone cards
    when using the phone for long distance/international calls. The host should reinforce
    this as a rule of the house.

    6. Hosts who allow students to remain in the home after they are no longer a
    student of Language Studies International may be terminated from the LSI
    homestay network. Any matters or issues pertaining to the homestay once a student
    has discontinued his/her studies at LSI are between the student and the homestay host
    with no further responsibility or obligation on the part of Language Studies
    International.

    I understand the requirement for becoming a homestay host and agree to abide by
    the terms and conditions as outlined above.
