Filled in as a temporary multimedia journalist during a transition period in the newsroom. Covered breaking news and local issues and wrote community features with accompanying video. Sidelines Murfreesboro, Tenn. June 2012-May 2013

Editor-in-chief for MTSUs independent student newspaper, Sidelines. Organized weekly print edition and daily web content. Edited all content, managed staff, met with university officials, and negotiated new contract with a Gannett paper to foster a partnership to increase ad revenue for both papers and give more students professional opportunities.
