    IIFT 2010 exam went off smoothly, with the paper along predictable lines. As usual, the paper was quite
    lengthy, and the quant and DILR sections had some difficult questions. Verbal ability had some difficult
    vocab-based questions, and the RC questions were inferential and difficult.
    Question selection was very important due to the structure of the paper a mix of easy and difficulty
    questions. The ability to bypass tantalizing, but not easy-to-solve questions was equally important.

    Quantitative ability was verbose, and difficult, with longish questions (referring both to length of the
    question and time required to solve it). It had the following main features:
    1. A large number of questions had None of these as the answer option, making the questions
    more difficult. In a significant number of questions, None of these was the right answer
    option.
    2. It was possible to solve some questions by substituting options directly.
    3. A number of questions required the use of plus-two level maths.
    The questions on positive integers exceeding sixty lakhs, Values of , , , Arrangement of SERIES, Root
    of quadratic equation, Logarithms (both questions), Octagon, Venn diagram, Cosine rule in circle should
    have been attempted.

    Overall, the difficulty was medium, and in keeping with the tone of the paper, the section was lengthy.
    Logical Reasoning was fairly simple with a great focus on arrangements, and all should have been
    attempted except for the one on truck travel distance.
    Data Interpretation was based on bar charts or tables, and was very calculation intensive. One set had
    four tables, but could be solved without too much of trouble, once the common data had been
    understood. The set on Carbon Credits was complicated.

    Reading comprehension was deceptive, since the passages were of moderate length and difficulty. The
    questions were lengthy, had a number of inferential questions, and some questions required detailed
    re-reading of the passage. The passage on Kodak was comparatively easier and doable with 5
    straightforward answers. One of the other 3 passages needed to be attempted. Overall, a section which
    consumed a lot of time and provided low return on time invested.
    Verbal ability had a number of vocabulary based questions, which required an uncommon command
    over vocabulary and spelling. The rest of the section was a mix of easy and difficult questions. Out of the
    6 Qs on Jumbled sentences, 6 on Fill in the blanks and 5 on Grammar, 12 Qs could have been attempted
    with a high accuracy in 15 minutes.

    There was a mix of questions on corporate and other questions. There were a number of three
    parameters questions that could have been solved by elimination.
    Corporate Questions included on:
    1. M & A
    2. Taglines
    3. Women CEOs
    4. Public Sector Bank Brand Ambassadors.
    The Non-Corporate Questions included:
    1. National Highway
    2. Chief Guest at Republic Day Parade
    3. Location of International Organisations like NATO, Interpol
